If you take the bus or taxi to Termini station.. you will likely pass this.... We passed this 2 different times before truly noticing it. Please take the time to really enjoy this! Its beautiful and impressive. Easily overlooked as it is a busy area with traffic... people going here and there throughout the center but if you stop and enjoy the architecture and history of this place.... you find you are appreciative of it and want to give it the credit it deserves. Rome is a place full of SO many largely popular monuments and structures, that we can sometimes miss the less-talked about places... this is a shame because they are equally impressive and important. For instance, the fountain here is WORTH checking out! incredible

We first passed through this piazza when we rode our taxi from the Termini train station. We passed through it several times during our stay in Rome. It is a beautiful piazza with an impressive fountain in the center. The fountain is called the Naiad fountain - four nude water nymphs - at the site of the ancient Thermae. The piazza acquired this name after Italian unification.

We discovered the Piazza della Repubblica while on our hop on/hop off bus tour and we decided to visit. This is a beautiful Piazza but very busy with traffic (beware when crossing the street). It is very close to Termini Station.

This was the best nice piazza , because it has a very wonderful fountain there with nice statues . you don’t have to stay there for long time , but you can take some photos and go , there is a metro station near it called repubblica

As other reviewers have stated, this piazza is basically a roundabout, but the fountain in the centre of it is well worth a visit. Although I'd been to Rome several times before, this was the first time I'd stumbled across Piazza della Repubblica in my wandering and, to me, it's one of the most beautiful fountains in Rome. The sweetness on the face of the Nymph of the Lakes as she's gazing at a swan in her grasp is absolutely unforgettable.
Unlike the Trevi Fountain where tourists are stacked as thick as sardines in a tin, this fountain can be enjoyed without having to jostle for space or ward off annoying street vendors. I'm really glad I saw it and would visit it again in a future visit.
