We stayed at Domus RomAntica for two nights prior to flying to Sicily for a tour. We got there by taking the Leonardo da Vinci train from the airport and walking from the train station. The only problem was that it's hard to find -- we got to the address, and didn't see any signs of a hotel or B&B. After communicating in broken Italian with some folks at the coffee bar on the ground floor (where, as it turns out, Domus guests have breakfast highlighted by world-class coffee) - and one pointed out the hotel's name on a tiny list of occupants of a four- or five-story building. So taking the ancient elevator up to the fourth floor, we finally found it. The room was decorated in an old-fashioned and fussy manner, but it was a cool and comfortable retreat from the summer heat, with a clean and modern bathroom. Later that evening, I met Marco, who owns the Domus along with Claudia. Marco speaks excellent English and helped me with everything from making dinner reservations to calling and confirming our upcoming reservation at a completely different hotel that had not responded to my email. He followed up on the dinner reservation by calling AND texting me a couple of times. (Also the restaurant was terrific, as was the artisanal gelato place near it that Marco also recommended.) This is an owner who is friendly, helpful, energetic, multi-lingual, and tech-savvy too. Before turning in for the night, I had a chance to talk with Claudia, who -- although her English is not nearly as good as Marco's -- also is trying very hard to make the Domus a success. For the price, the Domus provides a good location in a nice neighborhood that's convenient to the important tourism sites, yet tucked away from heavily trafficked main streets.

We spent four nights in this very comfortable and clean B&B. We took a taxi from the airport and had no problem locating it. Since this is a B&B on the fourth floor of a normal building complex, don't look for a big sign advertising it's location. Before we left for Rome, we notified the B&B that we would arrive at around 8:30PM and they were waiting for us when we arrived. We rang the buzzer on the door and went up a small elevator with just enough room for three people (that seems to be normal for this type of building in Rome) to the fourth floor. The staff welcomed us and showed us to our room.
Room: The room was clean and comfortable with A/C and WiFi. Since we were there in July, the A/C was a must and it did a great job cooling us off after a day of sightseeing. The bathroom was clean and modern with great water pressure. The WiFi was okay. The room came with breakfast provided by a cafe next to the B&B. The cappuccino, juice, and pastry were a great way to start each day. The staff also provided us with restaurant recommendations and they were great! Great food at a great price!
Location: The B&B was about a 10-minute walk from the subway, but there is a bus stop at the end of the block. It was easy to get around Rome from this location, but if you want to walk, it's a bit of a walk to the sights. There is a grocery store and a laundry mat only ten minutes away by foot.
We recommend this B&B to anyone planning a trip to Rome. Location, Price, Cleanliness and helpful staff make this a perfect place to stay.

Room Tip: If you want a room away from the streer, then ask for Room #1. It was very quiet.

The hotel is everything you want for a short city break, especially when there is so much to do in Rome. It was easy to get around from here and there were good places to eat close by as well. The rooms were lovely and the owners were very friendly. Don't stay anywhere else this place is great for the backpackers as well as the people wanting a romantic getaway.

Just back from 9 great nights at this B and B with my boyfriend. Very clean. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Great quiet location with great value, delicious restaurants on your doorstep. Breakfast was fine for us, nice coffee! Within walking distance of more or less everything. Metro is close by if you can't be bothered. Air conditioning was a life saver in the 40 degrees heat of Rome. Excellent value for money. Thanks guys. :)
