We stopped for a capuccino and a glass of wine.
They were served without water for the capuccino, without chips or olive or peanuts for the wine and charged 12,50 euros and no smile but including a service charge not deserved. They obviously don't care. It was a shame to be there even if it was for ten minutes waiting for a meal at the corner to Sora Margherita one of the greatest place of the Ghetto. Don't make our mistake avoid this place !

The wait staff works the street using strong-arm tactics to get customers in the door. The artichokes I was served were so seared that they tasted like toasted paper. The final price was off the charts. Given the food, aggressive customer round up, and prices it's clear this restaurant doesn't depend on repeat business. Customer ratings on TripAdvisor say it all!

It's one of the first places you see as you walk into the Jewish ghetto of Rome .... on a rainy day we were eyes wide open to the waiters masterfully pushing the place. Of course if you're not in on the joke, don't go here. But for us the scam was so wide open that it was fun ... if you want to be told that the fish were in the ocean twenty minutes before and the wine is the waiter's personal favorite and the artichokes you can get anywhere are a restaurant creation .... it's great. Really. Our laughs about the experience are worth it.... definitely one to remember. We never allow ourselves to be coerced into a restaurant (the better restaurants don't push you into the place....the best don't need to coerce the customers). But this time it was so over the top that we went with it. If you don't enjoy the scam, don't eat here. But if you are willing to pay a bit for the fakery, it's over the top grandstanding you can take home in memories.

I am Italian, I live in Rome and I have been to this place (I don't call it a restaurant compared to real restaurants) with my family after visiting the Jewish ghetto in Rome. In summary: as soon as we sat down, we had our smelly glasses changed, but even those replaced smelled; at the appetizer they put in front of dirty dishes that my wife cleaned with a towel and a napkin. They served us dry artichokes. Pumpkin flowers are not bad but the oil smelled. After an exact hour the first dishes arrived: obscene; the pasta (tonnarello cacio e pepe) was a glue, almost melted and the taste was like a taste of soap. At one point we went to the bathroom and in the small corridor, there were dozens of dishes left over from other customers' food, next to diners. A smell so unpleasant that we do not understand how those people could have lunch there. Rude and unprepared staff. There was a lot of confusion every time a course came: they didn't know who to serve. Even the bill was very high for what we ate. I ask the tourists who visit the area not to stop here. Look for a real typical restaurant where the reviews are better. In Rome you can eat well everywhere ..... except here.
