“Lovely Lunch near the Spanish Steps”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

Shared a lovey lunch with my sister on a recent trip to Rome. We split a classic Margarita pizza, grill asparagus and deep fried zucchini blossoms. The pizza was perfecto with a thin crust, fresh cheese and basil. The vegetables were well done and delicious! We shared a half litre of the house red: vino di casa, which was delightful. I recommend this place if you are looking for a good meal near the Spanish Steps.

“Great Place......honest value!!”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Same menu and pricing as other small restaurants in the area.....but thats is where the similarities end. Great friendly service by the all female staff of waiters!! At other restaurants in the areas..... We were overcharged...charged twice.....had tips added in addition to the tip service charge by grumpy male waiters!!! La Botte had great pizza and all the standard Italian dishes and beautifully decorated.

“Good Food at Fair Prices”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

We ate here our last night in Rome and it was very good. We arrived at around 9:30 and were greeted hospitably and shown to a table. We had a very charming waitress who spoke English (but I am practicing my Italian so we spoke in Italian). Our first table was a bit out in the middle of everything as twos often are so we asked to move when another became available. No problem.

We started with Roman Artichokes which were delicious. My husband had a beer and veal milanese and french fries (steak fries really) which he enjoyed and I had Tonnarelli a Cace e Pepe - A pasta carbonara in essence- and a green salad - both delicious. The bread was delicious ( for which you pay so if you don't want any just refuse it cause it seems to arrive automatically). I ordered a bottle of still mineral water and I had a coffee to finish. The bill came to 49.00 euros. Not too bad.
