We were in Rome for 3 nights staying at the holel over the road Tre Stelle. We were welcomed by the FANTASTIC waiters and ended up having three tremendous evening meals I cannot thank the staff enough. We were never rushed always told to chill and relax and the food was amazing. Thank you so much

We went to Tre Archi initially because it was right next door to our hotel. However, it was a great choice. We had the same server two nights in a row and he was hysterical. The whole staff seemed to be having fun which lightened our moods after long days of walking. I had a recommended fish dish on our first experience there and it was phenomenal. We ate inside and outside and the staff was very accommodating in both settings. My wife and I were happy with every meal choice we made at Tre Archi. It is relatively inexpensive and has a large menu. We will definitely return!

My wife and I went to this restaurant in March. We found this place close to our hotel near the Termini station. They made us to wait almost 40 minutes to bring our first dish. They apologized saying that they had just received a group of 100 people while we were waiting for our first dish. It means that they gave priority to such a large group than attending just a couple (far less money). We arrived before that large group but we were attended the last. In addition, they were confused about our second dish order and they served to both of us the same dish even tought we asked for two different choices. When we complained they offered to change it but at that time we only wanted to leave that place. So we took what they served. We spent hour and a half in that restaurante and the food was not good at all. We don´t recomend that restaurant.

Saturday 21st January 2012 - Evening

Location: We decided not to eat in one of the main tourist areas and wanted to find somewhere closer to our hotel. 3 Archi is down a sidestreet in the area just North of the Termini railway and bus station. There are a large number of hotels in this area, this place could be useful if you are staying nearby.

We were warmly greeted and given a choice of where to sit. There is a main area at the back but also a small room at the front. Near the entrance there was a large display of various antipasti laid out on tables.

Soon after sitting, a plate with Bruschetta was put before us. We would normally have ordered a starter or antipasta, but due to the Bruschetta we didn't. A very nice touch, but if I was running a restaurant I'm not sure I would do this.

The waiter was a nice young man who was quite amusing. He spoke very little English but wanted to, and I speak almost no Italian, so it was genuinely good fun conversing. I ordered seafood pasta. It was good, langoustines, squid, clams, baby octopus etc, not absolutely the best I have ever had, but really very good. For desert we shared a tiramisu, which was also good. Finally we were brought complimentary glasses of Limoncello.

A Leffe beer, glass of Prosecco, Bruschetta (free), Bread and oil, two main courses, a mixed salad, shared desert, a good bottle of wine, Limoncello (Free),cover charge of €1.50 per person € 59.50. Not bad, very happy and left a cash tip.

Just a couple of small niggles, my wife's Prosecco was very flat, probably been opened for some time. Also, there was music which was just a tiny bit too loud, and although the type of music changed constantly, it was just a bit imposing on the ear. Music in a restaurant is fine, but you should hardly be aware of it.

Ristorante 3 Archi looked and felt quite new, freshly decorated and the staff seemed a bit untrained but tried very hard to get things right. This was the best value dinner of our trip, but it is not at a major tourist site where you will pay much more and possibly not get the best food or service. Ristorante 3 Archi is recommended. They appreciate their customers, and try very hard to please, not everything is completely right, but the very minor faults are completely excusable.
