“Well worth the visit--Loggia of Cupie and Psyche extraordinary”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

The Villa Farnesina was one of the most impressive places we visited. It's a little difficult to find as it is not well posted and we almost gave up looking for it, but are glad we did not. It was not crowded and thee frescoes are incredible - especially the Loggia of Cupid and Psyche frescoed in 1518 by Raphael and his workshop. I could have stayed in this room all day--it was beautiful and so serene.

“Worth the visit!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2012

Dramatic but visitor friendly look at Raphael, Peruzzi and Sodoma.
Surprisingly inexpensive look at the real thing in the proper environment.
It is a shame the gardens are only partially available for viewing.

“Off the beaten path”

The art in this palace is incredible. However, it's hard to get to unless you take a taxi. Definitely worth a visit nonetheless.

“A Renaissance Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2012

Check the opening hours before you go. It took several trips to Rome before I got in. Frescoes are fabulous and I love the scale of the building. Haven't seen the gardens completed but I think they will add immeasurably to the experience.

very nice and beautiful, but mostly just a great place to see what a 16th century palace looked like - beautiful works by Raphael
