One of my favourite destinations when visiting Rome. The villa is full of magnificent art and sculptures. The complimentary audio guide is a very personalized glimpse into the world of one of Rome’s most important aristocratic families, their colorful lives, and their sense of duty to maintain their rich history for all. The audio guide is narrated by Prince Jonathan Doria-Pamphilj who shares personal memories, stories of his ancestors, and details about various works of art including famous works by Caravaggio. It is one of the very few Italian palaces which have their original art collections still in tact.

A beautiful palace! This place has a central location, and it was easy to access by walking. And what is more, there were no queues (!).

In the very center of Rome this luxurious palace is a must to those that don t love crowds and are keen on art and old days.. the private rooms worth the extra 2 euros.
The Palazzo was built in the 17th century and contains one of the most valuable private collections of paintings in the world.

This place is well worth seeing. The palace is huge with a fascinating collection of art that dates mainly from the 16th and 17th century. This palace has been in private hands for 400 years and the art collection was kept intact, which is highly unusual. A lot to see and with audio guides in several different languages (including English) it was well worth the ticket price. We went in early December and there were only a few people there so we were able to take our time and amazingly get very close to many priceless pieces of art! Take the time to go see it!

This museum is far less known than Galleria Borghese, not to mention the Vatican, but it is most certainly a major attraction. It is a privat museum, and the electronic guide is provided by the current member of the proud Doria Pamphilj family, which adds a nice touch. The palazzo is perfectly restored, and the collection of paintings is first class.
