this is the most beautiful Church with stunning mosaics, the yellow light filtering in from the windows picks up the gold in the mosaics. spent plenty of time just sitting and looking. I would totally recommend a visit. the square outside the church has a few cheap cafes and restaurants and plenty of street performers and smart Romans posing and people watching, great place to lose a couple of hours.

Spiritual home to the followers of Lazio football club, Trastevere is an authentic working class area, but it has fantastic local restaurants and brilliant piazza life! The church is welll worth a visit. But best of all try staying in the area using something lie Air B n B

We stumbled into this church by choice but we ended up in a service which was a bonus. It was beautiful with the organ music, the choir and the service in Italian/Latin. One of the oldest churches in Rome.

This is a wonderful old church in a part of Rome that some tourists
skip. Trastevere is on the other side of the Tiber River and has a great
nightlife, restaurants and shopping. You can easily get to this area by walking
or public transit.

You can appreciate this church if you go for a walk through 'La Farnesina'. You will also find a nice hill that provides you a fantastic view. In this hill there's a huge monument of G. Garibaldi.
