“Cramped rooms and false marketing”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

We stayed here for 4 nights and paid appx 275 euros per night.
- We stayed in room 110 which is tiny. You have to be very careful not to hurt your foot while opening the closet door as there is no space between the bed and the closet door once opened. The shower is also very small. Do not think the room is 22 sq meters plus as advertised.
- The Fitness Center is only a treadmill - shameful advertising. The tv in room was still showing more cardio machines and weights.
- Opening the door required special technique which no one bothered to explain to us. Swipe, wait for the sound, pull and push.
- The breakfast is excellent and the location is very convenient.

We stayed at the Hotel Art for five nights in June 2013. The hotel is on Via Margutta, a charming (and famous) street right in the posh shopping area of the Spanish Steps. The staff was welcoming, our room was clean, modern, and just what we needed as a home base for a vacation in Rome. The bathroom also has a huge bathtub. The breakfast was delicious and had a large array of fresh food (cheeses, pastries, breads) to choose from. Overall we had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again.

Room was small and bed sheets were made of linen, not very comfortable. Breakfast was great. Did NOT appreciate the fact that we asked a server (wasn't very busy) where a certain monument was, and she went to ask her colleague/boss who informed us that we needed to address our questions to Reception only. Last time I checked, a four star hotel provided quality customer service. Another issue was the A/C in the room which was NOT functional. We had to call Reception numerous times a day and each time they answered they regulated it themselves from Reception but never noticed a change in the room temp. Again, for a four star hotel, and during summer, not ideal at ALL.

Room Tip: ask for a spacious room, if they have any.

Stayed at hotel art in June 2013. Arriving there after a long international flight, and seeing our cute modern cosy room was a huge relief. The rooms are small, but what more do you need in Rome? Bathroom was also modern & clean with a great shower. Staff were so friendly and helpful. My favorite was the delicious breakfasts- best on our trip. The street is quaint and beautiful, and not even a 5 min walk to the Spanish steps! I would definitely recommend staying here, and a little secret- after a long day of walking through Rome, take off your shoes just outside the hotel and walk on the white stones to reception. It's an awesome and much needed massage to the feet after a long day!

It was a pleasure to arrive at this delightful hotel after a long international flight. The room was spacious and well-appointed; the bathroom was lovely and roomy with a tub and great shower. Via Margutta is a charming street. The staff was great and so was the restaurant. Beautiful breakfasts.

The location is great.. literally a couple blocks away from the Spanish Steps. Lots of quaint restaurants around and right in the middle of the shopping district. The main Rome "Centro" is small so everything is walkable - The Trevi Fountain, The Venezia Plaza, The Pantheon, Popolo etc.

The hotel has great buffet breakfast and their coffee is good. Service is great specially, thanks to Fernandino and Joshua. Rooms are clean and good amenities. Free wifi but you need to get the free access codes everyday from the front desk.

We stopped by Rome for 4 days and 3 nights before we depart for our Mediterranean Cruise for our honeymoon and we were so happy with the Hotel Art as our choice of hotel. It was very accessible to good restaurants and we really enjoyed our morning and evening walks in the area. You can walk to the the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain back and forth. It was also a good hotel considering it's very near the MRT station which we had to ride going to the Termini Station to ride our train going to Civitavecchia where our cruise will depart. We enjoyed our breakfasts too! :)
