I think my spouse and I would consider booking this hotel again. We stayed here for 4 nights. It was one block from the bus/train station and the station actually had a wonderful cafeteria with great food and decent prices! The room we had was adequate in size but not generous by any means. We had twin beds that were comfortable and the room/bathroom were very clean. There was space to put the luggage to get it off the floor. The bathroom was generally ok but the shower was a tiny space in the corner of the room with a small pull-around curtain but without a floor lip on it so water tended to run out onto the rest of the floor. I found this aspect very disconcerting. I was grateful for the bath mat so I didn't have to worry about slipping and falling after coming out. The staff was friendly and helpful. My husband especially enjoyed a long chat with the gentleman who works the night shift who was very personable and generous with his time. The couch in the lobby was very comfortable and we enjoyed watching a football game while sitting on it. We did not eat breakfast here so I cannot comment on the food. Just down the same block was a laundromat with great service which we were grateful for after so many days on the road.

What was good
- located right by train station but still quiet
- very clean
- very helpful and friendly staff
- actually had an outdoor area (as small as it is, still big for rome)

What wasnt so great
- fair trek to the best sights (however its close to the bus station where we found you can pretty much get on any bus and not pay cos they're so busy)
- small room

Conclude - would definitely recommend it, however wouldnt recommend rome as a whole.

We booked this for our return to Rome so were able to view the rooms before we put a deposit down. The gentleman at reception was very pleasant and gave us a few tips about travelling through Italy which was very welcome. The room was neat ,tidy and pleasant enough. The bathroom had been renovated so was clean and well appointed. The only slight downside was that the wi-fi was not very reliable.. i would definitely recommend this as a good reasonably priced hotel and would stay here again.

Stayed in this hotel for four nights in early May with a friend. The hotel was very close to Termini Station, which is a perfect location as a base to visit Rome. While the hotel is located off a side street, it is easy enough to find. The hotel room was very small with twin cabin beds and a tiny ensuite bathroom. It was difficult for two people to move about, however the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean when we arrived and were cleaned everyday. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel promotes itself as bed and breakfast however breakfast was a croissant and coffee in a nearby cafe. This in itself would not stop me from staying here again as the hotel cleanliness was excellent and the location was great. There are lovely trattorias close to the hotel behind Termini station.

Room Tip: Room 108 was beside the lobby and was noisy with the window opened.

This was probably the best stay in Rome for the above reasons. In addition, the friendly staff were welcoming and gave us the same rate on two seperate stays. We had paid by cash and this worked in our favour by 10€. They have very clean rooms and a safe in each room which was good if you wanted to leave valuables locked whilst you were out. Definitely recommend to others who want a place to stay near Roma Termini.

While hardly deluxe, the Robinson boasts a fine staff whose members are more than gracious and welcoming. One caveat -- although sources indicate that you can pay with credit card, you can't -- cash (euros) only, and up front to boot. The room was miniscule, but clean. We had room 207, which opens onto an interior courtyard. Be sure not to leave the window open, since there is no screening -- areas of standing water in the courtyard below are obviously breeding mosquitoes. Don't let the industrial/back-street look of things get to you -- the rooms and baths are just fine, especially at the price point, and security measures are quite thorough.

Room Tip: Request a quiet room -- you are literally right across the street from the Rome Termini train statio...

We stayed at the Hotel Robinson about two blocks from the train station. It was very convenient to get to and we took an early taxi the next day, which the hotel pre-arranged for us, to the airport for our trip home. The hotel and room was very clean. Lori was very nice and helpful. It would be a good base place to stay for an extended visit in Rome.

Room Tip: Only had a small clean room for one night. Slept good.
