We have stayed in this hotel before and based on our previous experience we decided to come back... here is why:
1) location, location and again location
2) price vs location

Here is why we give 3 stars...
This time the room we got was actually pretty horrible (room no. 28 if I recall well), smelly and bathroom was too moldy. (last time we had nice room on 3rd floor street view, but it might have changed)
Everything in the hotel is OK-ish and even though it is clean it needs updating.
We do realize it is 2 stars and review accordingly...it is basically average. Simple breakfast included, internet connection at the reception ...

Would we recommend? Hard to say. It is for low budget good/central location travelers. If you are not looking for luxury rather simple stay, it is good.
Important: There is no elevator so keep that in mind if you have any difficulties.

Me and my dad stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. We booked it through bookings me were charged 100 euro, which we paid directly to the hotel when we came. There is also a city tax, for 2 people 6 nights we paid 24 euro.

The hotel is located on a quite street. From terminal station (where buses go from airport) it was about a 35 minute to the hotel.

The rooms are not too large but good enough for the city centre. Rooms were cleaned everyday but towels were not replaced. I left the towels on the floor and then they were replaced.

Breakfast was poor in choice, options of hot drinks, concentrated orange juice, 3 types of cereal, one type of bread, butter, soft cheese, croissants and little crackers in packets. So not hot foods such as eggs, fruit or yogurts.

However, the location of the hotel was fantastic! We didn't use public transport once! The Pantheon and Trevi Fountain 15 mins away, Plaza Niova 5 min walk, Vatican City 15-20min walk in a straight road, Coliseum 20 min walk, Gallery Borgese 30 min walk.

I would recommend this hotel to those going to Rome to explore the history of it and want to be located right in the centre! Plenty of supermarkets around for breakfast!

Really liked this little hotel, more like a B&B, but what a great place to stay! We, were a party of five ladies, we had no problems whatsoever. I emailed ahead to request a low floor as we had 3 seniors in our party, we were on the 1st floor up one flight of stairs, and both our rooms 13 and 16 were close to each other. Our triple room was quite spacious, we had plenty of room to manoeuvre, plenty of storage, nice view of the street, nice clean beds and excellent maid service, our room was left spotless everyday, and with 3 people in one room that is a challenge. Bathroom was clean and spacious, our friends bathroom was larger than ours.

Breakfast room was very nice, with plenty of choice from cereals and delicious croissants, was not keen on the machine coffee but the staff will make you a fresh coffee if you ask, staff are very welcoming

The three Mariani brothers are great and very welcoming and assisted us in calling taxis, and helped us all in. There is an ancient Roman Column in the basement, according to one of the brothers Maurizio, we were promised to to see it but never did, maybe next time !

I would certainly stay here again next time in Rome ( which is quite often) Location is perfect and would highly recommend

Room Tip: can be noisy at the front, ask for back room

Great breakfast.
Great location, 5 minutes walk from piaza navona, 25 minutes walk from the Colosseum.
The rooms are very small!
No Elevator - you have to carry your staff to the 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor by yourself using stairs.

We got the address from one of our friend who knows Rome well. Although the former reviews were mixed about this hotele we were certainly satisfied. The staff was helpful and polite (no shouting or other gruffness) . We had a room on the second floor, the seize was ok. Given the location and the price this is an excellent hotel.

Simplemente elegante! Located in the down town of Rome, close from everything... or surrounded by everything... it's a little bit hidden, which is very good in Rome, where traffic and its crazy drivers are the only problem in the city. But still in the middle of Rome, from there it's possible to go everywhere just walking and this is one the most beautiful experiences in the city, going from one place to another walking in small streets plenty of monuments, galleries, restaurants, libraries and coffe shops. The attention is the best, there is a smile always in the reception, not a dosis of politeness, just friendship, just they make feel at home.

Not at all what was advertised. Not a B & B, NO inroom AC or wifi. Smallest hotel room EVER. When we asked for a larger room, with 2 beds, we were told none were available but they could "separate" our one bed. This consisted of putting separate sheets on each half of the bed. After first day sight seeing came back to find my ipad had been stolen out of suitcase in my room. When I asked for help, the desk clerk said I would need to speak with the owner. When I went to speak to the owner, he started yelling at me and my sister that this was not his problem. We were the problem and we should get out of his hotel. We were too much problem and he didn't need our business. His screaming and attitude ruined my entire visit to Rome. Water always smelled like sewage. With the exception of 1 front desk person, very few speakers of English. Breakfast was fine. It is a good location, but think you couldn't find a better place in the same area. I would NEVER stay here again.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.
