Just down the hill from our hotel, Hilton Caveleri and was thrilled to find this spot. Wonderful food and service. The martini was perfect. Alessandro and the rest of the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Braised was amazing. Highly recommend. Close cab ride from Hilton.

I found this restaurant on trip advisor when searching for restaurants near the Cavalieri hotel where we were staying. The hotel concierge made no mention of it and they didn't include it on a map of local restaurants they gave us either but its reviews were sufficiently good to give it a go and I'm glad we did. It is more modern and has a younger crowd than many of the other local restaurants but this was refreshing. The menu was more modern Italian dishes that were well priced and good in size. For my main I had a steak dish with rocket and Parmesan which was fantastic, I thoroughly recommend it and the staff were helpful in suggesting local wines by the glass at reasonable prices ie 5 euros.
On the whole an excellent meal and only 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

We loved this restaurant, located in the Monte Mario neighborhood in Rome so much, we ate there twice. On our first trip, Alessandro took care of us and did a great job explaining the food, thus turning our dinner into a delightful dining experience. We took the advice of a previous reviewer and ordered the Tuscan plate to share. I hadn't had steak tartare in a long time and it was great. My friend, Ann, tried it but couldn't get over the fact that it was raw, so I got to eat most of it. I gave her most of the pepper steak that also came on the plate. This plate also came with gnocchi Ragu. It was so good, we ordered a side of it when we visited the second time, with another friend. Throughout the meal we were surprised as Alessandro and David brought out goodies for us including prosecco with some sort of bubbles made from a molecular reaction (delicious and not as weird as it sounds).

On our second visit, along with the gnocchi, we had an eggplant dish and a pork dish. Again, both were very good. This time we did a three-way share and had plenty to eat. We saved room for tiramisu. We had it for dessert both times and it was truly the best we will ever have in our lives.

Foodoo is frequented by those that live in the neighborhood. They are mostly young people that enjoyed visiting with three ladies from the U.S. We walked to the restaurant from the Rome Cavalieri and it was a nice walk both ways. Foodoo was not expensive. Our dinner for three, including dessert, was 20€ per person. We over course had to tack a 28€ bottle of wine onto that, later learning that the house wine in Italy is usually excellent. Well, "Live and Learn".

Read the reviews and we were so glad we went. Only about a 10-15 minute walk from the Cavalieri Hilton. Downhill to and uphill on the way back. The hotel concierge tried to send us to some closer spots, as he did not know much about this place. He also did not think it was walking distance. Tip to Foodoo owners - educate the Cavalieri concierge.

The three course set menu options were excellent, and plenty of food. Inexpensive wine by the glass. They even threw in a few amuse buche. You can tell that the owners want to provide innovative and modern takes on Italian food. This was our first night in town and we are planning to go back again before we leave.

We liked the Foodoo Restaurant a lot. Young people are doing a great job in cooking and serving the food. It looks not so cheap on the menu but once you see what you get compared to other restaurants in Rome I must admit it is outstanding.

Very good location about 600 m away from the Cavalieri Rome hotel (once you go out of the hotel - just turn right and take the next street half left. Go all the way down to the main street and turn left again. Another 200 m or so on the left side).

The restaurant would not fit for people who are too picky but once you concentrate on the food - I am sure everybody would like it. We took the Beef Steak with gnoggi.
