After reading reviews on TA we decided to give this hotel a try. Once again TA reviews were right on. The location could not have been better. The only transport we took was to the Vatican, Appian Way and to the airport, otherwise we walked to everything we wanted to see. Plenty of good restaurants nearby, and the staff was always very helpful. The rooms were small but did work well. Located on a very busy street but when both sets of windows were closed there was no noise and we slept well. The bathroom was small and the shower was the smallest I think Ive ever seen, but was modern and always cleaned well. All in all for being in the middle of everything I think this is an excellent choice for the money spent, and if we ever get back to Rome we would definately stay here again

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Parlamento from October 2-5, 2011. We payed the 55 Euro for their car service from the airport and I recommend it. It worked out really well and took the stress off finding a taxi right away. Entry into the hotel seems a bit akward at first since it shares the buliding with other businesses, but is fine after initial visit. The help at the desk was very nice. The standard rooms are very nice and clean albeit small. I would recommend making sure the room you book is not right by check in desk. The breakfast is very nice, especially the wonderful rooftop patio. For breakfast, it is part self-serve, part full service. This also was odd at first but worked out just fine. Also, you have to leave your room key at the desk before you leave for them to clean your room. In hindsight, I would have payed the 12 Euro per night for the A/C because the room retained the daytime heat. As everyone says, the location is awesome. We never needed a cab to get anywhere, except the vatican or the train station. Overall, for the very resonable price, we were very happy with the hotel and would recommend it to others.

I stayed at Hotel Parlamento for a week at the end of September with my good friend and my Mother. I researched hotels for the trip and was not disappointed when we arrived. The location is great- close to the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc as well as very close to many good restaurants. Our room was right next to the reception area, but I didn't notice excessive noise or disturbance. The room was large and very clean. It was so hot we paid the extra 12 euros a night to use the air conditioner and it was worth every cent! Hotel has free wifi and a computer that you can use. The hotel staff was great and always pleasant (Tiziano, in particular, was always helpful with recommendations and directions). If I return to Rome I will definitely stay here again!

The location is great, as mentioned in other reviews, close to many of "the" sites. The lift makes it easy to get to the reception area. We really appreciated that after dragging our heavy luggage up too many stairs in other hotels. Plini (spelling) and the staff were most helpful. The breakfast was very good. We also enjoyed the complimentary cappucino on the roof-top patio.

The Parlamento is a very tipical city centre hotel in Italy in that it occupies the upper storey of a very grand building. In this case the 4th and 5th floors at number 5 Via delle Convertite. This is a brilliant location, just a short walk from Trevi Fountain, Piazzas Navona, Popolo, Spagna and the Spanish Steps, and many other major sights. There is a great selection of classy shops and a whole range of restaurants from simple pizzas to silver service in the immediate area.

Rooms are quite small, but comfortable and functional. There's a delightful roof terrace and breakfast room. The Chini family, who own the place, and their staff make a huge difference - friendly, helpful and courteous. Little touches like the extra coffee requested at breakfast and delivered with a smile, and the offer to keep our luggage and even provide a shower and toilet for use late into the evening, were greatly appreciated.

Would definitely go back

Room Tip: There are two rooms that lead on to the roof top terrace available for a small supplement.

We stayed from Sept 8th to the 11th. Liked it so much returned for the end of our trip Sept 19th to 21st 2011. We were very happy with our rooms and the staff are very informative and helpful. They were spot on with suggestions on where to dine. We loved them all!! We were traveling from Rome to Positano, Amalfi, Sorrento and Ischia and ending in Rome. We would definetly stay here again. The location is great, to walk to all the sights or to catch a bus or metro. We miss Rome already and can't wait to come back to see Plinio, Roberto, Tiziano, Andrea and the rest of staff. Ciao!

This hotel is in one of the best locations in Rome. You can walk to most of the major attractions. Trevi fountain is only one of the many easy walks and can be enjoyed both day and night. The hotel is in a safe and desirable location. If you like shopping you are in the best place, right next to the Via Del Corso. You are close to all bus stops and a short walk to the Spanish Steps and the Metro.
The service was very good and the staff spoke English. They were helpful with travel arrangements or answering questions, especially Roberto. You could use their computer if need to check something. There is a lovely little roof top terrace where you can meet other guests and enjoy an evening drink.
A word of caution, if you have difficulty walking there is one more flight of steps going up to the rooms besides the small elevator to the hotel lobby on the 4th floor. The rooms are clean, but small, and very typical for this kind of hotel. All in all a very nice place to stay in the heart of Rome.

Room Tip: Just write to the hotel and tell them of your needs and they will help you choose the right room.
