"Great Hotel"
The following provided a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Alpi. An excellent range of food was provided at breakfast, a very clean room and well designed, spacious bathroom, fresh linen each day, well presented bathroom products, great location near Termini station (10 min walk), close access to a super market and a number of restaurants, easy access to buses, trains & metro line, staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Wireless reception for our iphones was poor in the room though excellent in lobby area.
We stayed on level four in a Deluxe room facing the square,

we were in Rome for just one night, the hotel is close to the central station and the taxis are right outside the hotel. Beautiful hotel with great chandeliers and the old great looking roman style. the front desk was very friendly and the rooms very comfortable

Room Tip: a good choice

We stayed for 4 nights in April. First impressions were OK, though I wasn't convinced we had been allocated the superior room we had booked, given that there was no welcome fruit basket or complimentary slippers as advertised on the hotel website. On enquiring, I was informed that it was a superior room, but that it didn't qualify for the fruit and slippers as it was booked through e-bookers and not their own website! The receptionist did agree to send up some slippers though which I appreciated. That said, the room itself was modern, and nicely decorated if a little on the small side. The bathroom was beautiful though - probably the same size as the bedroom - and the little balcony overlooking the terrace was perfect, and just as I had requested as a smoker. The room was kept clean and tidy, and we found all the staff friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good quality, though the selection differed depending on the time - not that we were ever particularly late. On a good day there were loaves of bread, bread rolls, cold meats and cheese, boiled eggs and a variety of pastries, cereals, jams and yoghurts. The fruit was a bit hit and miss - on the first morning, the platter was piled high, but on subseqent mornings the selection was not as good. I found the black coffee undrinkable, and am not a lover of espresso, but my husband fared better with his capuccino. All in all, a perfectly adequate start to the day, and the waiting staff were always smiling and welcoming. I think one of the best points of the hotel is its location. Close proximity to Termini station, and within walking distance of all the main attractions - with the exception of Vatican City (for us, anyway!) There are a number of good eating places in the area and we ate well on all four nights! We took the Terravision bus from the airport into Rome and back again. Excellent value at 4 euros each way (when you buy a return ticket) but you get what you pay for! Don't expect a civilised queue - you will have to fight and elbow your way onto the bus! OK coming from the airport as we were in no rush, but very stressful on the way back with limited time to catch a plane. Not for the faint hearted! I would certainly recommend the Hotel Alpi - yes there are cheaper hotels out there, but for a decent standard in an excellent location, it takes some beating!

Room Tip: Ask for one of the contemporary rooms. Also the balconies are pretty and a nice place to relax afte...

We were recommended to the Alpi Hotel by friends that stayed there a couple years ago. We found the hotel to be very nice. While a little quirky as things are prone to be in Italy. You go up a short flight of stairs to get to the elevator which is the size of an English phone boot and then some of the rooms require going either up or down another short flight of stairs. That aside the WiFi worked pretty good most places in the hotel and well in the room. Breakfast was very good with an excellent selection of breads, cheeses, meats, cereal, yogurts, hard boiled eggs fruit and great made to order coffee's. Staff were mostly very friendly and helpful and had a decent grasp of English. The rooms were nice and also clean and comfortable. A bit out of the way but close to Termini for bus, train and subway access.

Excellent location within 3 blocks of Roma Termini station. Nice rooms, roof terrace, responsive staff. Standard continental breakfast -nothing special. Selling points: 4 euro bus from either airport to train station, then 3 block walk. Car rental, tour buses, etc. at train station. In other words, a very handy place to drop your bags.

Stayed for 2 nights, we enjoyed the stay here.
Located quite near to the Termini Train Station, round 10 minutes walk there.
The staff is flexibly arranged for a early check in at 1pm once the room is ready, a plus.
The room is nice, clean and tidy.
Wifi is inclusive, but not very stable.
Just one incident, We were promised with a late check out at 2pm with the front desk 2 nights before our departure. In the morning we have to leave, we would like to re-confirm the arragement with the front desk, and the staff told us that it cannot be arranged! (obviously the previous staff didn't arrange it for us) Finally they still granted us one more hour, we have to check out at 1pm, we still grateful for this.

Room Tip: Enjoy Roma, Enjoy the Stay Here!

Our stay in Rome was made truly delightful by our stay at hotel Alpi. The room was spacious, clean, modern, comfortable and had all the equipment and utensils one would expect. Additionally our room(deluxe) sported a jacuzzi and a balcony with a nice view overlooking Rome. The breakfast that came included in the price was surprisingly good and made sure we were happy and content as we headed out to discover the truly magical city that is Rome. Getting around was never an issue due to the practical fact that the hotel is situated well within walking distance of Rome´s central station with busses, metro and trains. The neighborhood around the hotel is full of excellent little restaurants that are often family driven and affordable. Overall our stay at hotel Alpi was excellent and a truly romantic experience.

Room Tip: Go for the deluxe rooms, they are worth the difference in price!
