Perfect location. The staff was amazing. When we first checked in we were given a map with all the cool places to visit in the area, as well as all the places to avoid due to pick pockets. My boyfriend and I don't like touristy spots and like to hang around locals and this location was perfect for doing so. The room was small but what else do you expect? Wi fi was perfect and that is always something very important to me! Overall, so thankful this was where we ended up staying. We will definitely be back!

Just returned from a wonderful stay in Rome and at the Hotel Grifo. The hotel was in a perfect location, very close to the Colosseum, in oldie worldie Rome. Great bars and restaurants on your doorstep, all reasonably priced. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were small and quite basic but were clean and had just what you needed for a short break, would not hesitate to stay at the Hotel Grifo again.

We had a family room for 4. Compact but very quiet and comfortable. Fantastic location, can walk to To many attractions in minutes and many restaurants and cafés at your door. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Loved the stay in Hotel Grifo. Amazing little hotel that has a lot of character. Its in a proper italian neighbourhood with real local people. Amazing restaurants, Cafes and Bars dotted all around and the Colosseum is just down the road.

But its the staff that make the hotel what it is. They are simply amazing! So so helpful and very knowledgeable about Rome. They even prepared a birthday surprise for me!

Amazing experience by staying at this hotel and will now only ever book this place when I visit Rome.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 28 which overlooked the main street outside the hotel. Very lively during the day...

I´ve been to Rome already 5 times before, each time fighting with a big noice everywhere... this hotel, eventhough it´s close to everything is also very quiet and it was the first time I was able to sleep without any noices from outside or neighboor rooms... I really appreciate

Room Tip: room no.38 has a direct access to the terrace, an advantage for smokers :)

Our second time at the Grifo. Staff are friendly and professional. Rooms are compact and clean. Location perfect for walking the sites of Rome ask at the desk for a map, what streets to wander and where not to buy souvenirs! Get directions to the restaurant that serves spaghetti 108 ways.
If we visit Rome again will definately stay here

Room Tip: 21 is bigger than 22

I am stationed in Germany and took a trip to Rome just to get away and say I did some traveling while I am here in Europe. I went with a friend of mine and we didn't plan it out as good as we should have. We ensured we had a plane ticket which we booked with ryanair and ensured we booked round trip shuttle busses to and from the air port. As soon as we got off of the bus we walked around pricing hotels in the Area (about a block from the coliseum.) Many of the hotels were too over priced for our budget, We bumped into Hotel Grifo and by the looks of it and the location we thought for sure it was going to be either booked or the price would be outrageous. Well to our surprise the staff was so friendly and welcoming. He gave us a terrace room on the 5th floor for 75 euro per night. The hotel was a true Italian style hotel and the terrace overlooked down town Rome. (was breath taking). It was very close to the train station, the coliseum, the Vatican, and all the must do and see's in Rome. There were even a few parties in the streets about a block away from Hotel Grifo.

ok so more about the Hotel. The rooms are very well kept and decorated which made it seem like I was at home, only better. The air conditioner worked perfect, the room sizes were perfect, and the bathrooms were perfect size, and cleanliness. You wont go wrong with this hotel, from the location, the way it looks outside in, makes you truly feel like you are in Italy. Get this hotel even if you have the money to get a 5 star hotel. Perfect hotel with extremely friendly service/staff, perfect location, very economical and great breakfast!!

Room Tip: Get the terrace room on the highest floor over looking downtown room and the roof tops of the surrou...
