I was prepared to enjoy this, and the welcome was pleasant. The atmosphere is so nice. But I am a cook, and I love seafood, and this was mediocre cooking and food. Plastic packages of saltine-type crackers and bread sticks! This may belong with clam chowder in Boston, but not with our linguini with clams in Rome. I have had far better Italian-style seafood in Queens and Brooklyn. Maybe this was an off night for the cook? We asked for olive oil for our bread, and the contrast between the better-tasting oil in the bottle, and the blah stuff used on the mixed seafood starter, was sad. What a waste.
