This is a clean, quaint hotel. Our room was a nice size by European standards with a clean bathroom that looked newly renovated. The staff was friendly and there is a great cafe on the corner if you don't want to pay for a big hotel breakfast. The Spanish Steps, Metro and Taxi are one block over and plenty of great restaurants nearby.
We were traveling with my 77 year old mom and the close transportation was perfect. We would not hesitate to stay here again when in Rome.

I stayed at Hotel Homs for three nights with my boyfriend. The air conditioning in the room did not work and the room was very hot and it was difficult to sleep comfortably at night. We informed the staff at reception on the day we checked in that the air con was not working. We battled for our whole holiday with them over the broken air con. At one point they lied and said that an engineer had been called to fix it (which never happened). We generally found the staff there very unhelpful and unfriendly. The Internet there is an extortionate price and so is the breakfast. There is a spa supermarket just around the corner where we stocked up on soft drinks and prosseco for the holiday (unsurprisingly the mini bar is a complete rip off there too). I would never return. Awful value for money.. Look elsewhere!

Have just returned from a great w/end in Rome staying at the Homs Hotel on via delle vite. I can thoroughly recommend this fine hotel for its location, and general atmosphere. The room if a little small for three persons sharing was cosy but be sure to let them know when you check in that you are given proper beds as one ours was suitable for a child and not an adult We did not eat breakfast here deciding instead to see what the surrounding area had to offer and found lots of good/interesting places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and not intrusive in any way, always wishing us a 'Bon Giorno'

Room Tip: Ask for room with a nice view, as ours was not worth pulling the curtains for.

We chose this hotel for our stay in Rome based on reviews on Trip Advisor. It is a very nice, centrally located, very clean hotel. Yes, it's true what other reviewers say, the rooms and hallways are small and tight, however, for European standards and for the location in old Rome, it is to be expected. The staff is very helpful and polite. The breakfast is quite expensive, however, breakfast for one is served in large portions with a variety of items which my husband, 12 year old daughter and I shared and it was more than enough. There is also a cafe around the corner, but we enjoyed having breakfast at the hotel. We loved that we could walk to most of the main attractions. The metro is right around the corner which is very convenient. The staff at the hotel were very helpful in giving us information and tips on using the metro. Overall, we plan on returning to Rome and we will stay here again.

Let's start by saying that the hotel is perfectly located, very close to Piazza di Spagna and the main shops and the rooms are adequate.
however from here on things are not as pleasant. First of all the breakfast is ridiculously expensive! The cafeteria a couple of meters away from the hotel offered a delicious and varied breakfast for four people at half the price we would have paid for a single bfast at the hotel.

Wifi connectivity is charged at 15 euro a day! Personally i think that in 2012 (nearly 2013 actually) this is unreasonable.

Moreover the hotel overcharged us for the hotel to airport transfer - taxis and chauffeured cars in rome have an agreement whereby all transfers from the airport to the city centre are charged at a fixed cost of 48euro. when the receptionist offered to book us our taxi, she didn't mention that their option would cost 70euro - 22euro more than a taxi we could have taken from the square, roughly 50 meters away.

This hotel is located about a 2 minute walk from Piazza Spagna (spanish steps) and also a shopping district. 5 Minute walk from the Metro Station (red line)

I would say we expected a little more than what we got. We are not the kind of folk who needs much out of a hotel. We don't need to be waited hand and foot. Don't need all the Oohs and Awws - so we weren't expecting it to be super fancy in the first place. But it is very crammed. Hallways are very tight. The elevator is tiny. It says it fits 4 people but the only way I could see it fitting four is if they are squeezed together as tight as possible. It almost gives you claustrophobia to be in their.

We stayed in room #101. The bathroom was small also. You sat in the toilet and it felt like your knees were going to hit the wall in front of you. The sink was rusted and leaking a little bit (a couple of drops when you ran the water)

The Beds: Rock Hard! not very comfy.

Travel Tip: if you are coming from the Train Station (Roma Termini) Take the Metro - Red Line. Get off at the 3rd stop (piazza spagna) and walk to the hotel. $1.50 EURO per person. There are signs everywhere, the metro is very easy to use. Make sure you have coins. The ticket machine will not take large currency.

Fiumicino Airport: We had to catch and early morning flight so we left the hotel at 6AM. It took us 20 minutes. The Front Desk person says it takes about 40 minutes during the day due to traffic.

I stayed here for a week! I was alone, so I had single room. The room was small, but average size for European standards. The staff at this hotel is amazing! I arrived 5 hours before check in time and they immediately called housekeeping to see if my room was ready! My room wasn't available, but they offered to hold my luggage and told me it would be about 2 hours. I was in fact able to check in 3 hours early, which was a relief after my long flight from the States. The room was very clean. The room had a full compliment of toiletries, which were replaced daily. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! I didn't use the mini-bar, but the price list seemed reasonable. The location was PERFECT!!! I was able to walk to everything I wanted to see! These included the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Colosseum and Vatican City to name a few! Marianna and Francesca, at the front desk, are absolutely amazing! They deserve special recognition! They were always willing to help! I will definitely stay in this hotel again!
