If you want to walk to every important place in Rome then this hotel is perfect for you.
It is a two star hotel and doesn't pretend to be anything else so don't have high expectacions except a clean room with hot water.

Was willing to compromise on the stairs and "basic" amenities, but found that they were subpar. Mildew throughout the bathroom, wifi (only available in lobby) was spotty and frequently unavailable. Only a couple of the staff was helpful. I asked one person where a certain restaurant was (I had the address), and was told it wasn't on the tourist map provided. No offer to look it up or get directions. Breakfast bread was stale (rock hard croissants) and lines were way too long to wait - we stood in line for 20 minutes past our "Reserved" time, then had to wait more for coffee and the rolls. Wound up skipping the breakfast each day and going to a cafe. Very noisy location.

Room Tip: Ask for lower floor room

Chose this hotel because of location and price, and they delivered on both. We were aware of the lack of 'frills', and no elevator when we booked, hoped for a room on a lower floor. Jackpot! Here's what's good: The shower. A very good bed (surprised!). Decent reading lights on both sides. Front desk people could not be better, helped with computer, boarding passes etc. Hardworking, friendly cleaning & breakfast staff. The experience sort of reminded us of 'dorm' accommodation at first, because of the size of the rooms, but we were prepared for that also. If you want wifi, perks, view (this is Rome...get outside!) book elsewhere. I would book again, but early enough to get another room on the first floor. I imagine the experience could be different if there were 4 flights of stairs to walk up a couple times a day. .

Very clean, hospitable, small rooms but very adequate. Loved their showers, but we were on the fourth floor and had to climb 122 stairs. Keeps one in good condition. Staff were friendy, price includes continental breakfast

Room Tip: They do not have any elevators, so be aware there are many stais to climb, but for the price and location that is normal.

Oh god!!!
No way in hell am I ever going back to this hotel!!

Unlike my other reviews I will list points about this hotel in terms of pros and cons:

Pros:
1. Great location. You can walk it to the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, the Tiber, Alter of the Fatherland
(That's all!!)

Cons:
1. Small rooms
2. No elevator
3. No WiFi in rooms. Only in the reception area
4. You have to carry all your luggage to your room even if it's on the 4th floor!
5. There is no view worthwhile
6. The breakfast spread is as long as your arm (see photo attached to review)
7. Most rude and inhospitable staff I have ever (and ever will) come across in my life
8. EUR 90 a day for all the above cons definitely not worth it

My suggestion if you don't care about the cons then go for this hotel.
My note to myself is I don't mind walking an extra mile or paying an extra euro or so for a better hotel.

Room Tip: The only tip is don't book a room here!!!
