Facing the Pantheon, try for a room with a view! Rooms are small but modern, including bathrooms and shower. Elevator only from the 1st floor (not ground floor) up, but they help with the luggage. Staff is helpful with suggestions. No restaurant, however, a coupon for breakfast in the piazza. Cannot beat a table with a view of the Pantheon, all to yourself in the morning - no other tourists. Best chocolate croissant and cappuccino! They have started renovating, so check current conditions.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view facing the Pantheon!

Loved this hotel for the location, we stayed in the annexe and found it to be well priced for the location. The room was small but we were hardly in it and it was clean, absolutely fine for a short break. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming and loved having breakfast on the piazza. Would definitely return.

We spent 3 days in this hotel at the beginning of december 2013. We had a beautiful renovated room with new bathroom fully equipped and an amazing view on the Pantheon! We will suggest Hotel Abruzzi to all friends!

What a location! I love this area and the Hotel Abruzzi allows you to be close to the action. Everything is handled professionally. I arrived a little early and was able to store luggage prior to checking in - no problem. Checking in was friendly, maps offered and suggestions made. Room was clean with a great view of the Pantheon.

Room was comfortable but pretty small. Breakfast was at a cafe across the square, I was welcomed warmly and enjoyed it. WiFi was excellent. All in all I loved it, would rate if 5 if the rooms were not so tiny. I was a single staying in a double room, not sure how another person would have fitted in. Keep that in mind plus some steps to negotiate up to the first level and beyond. I loved the place though - I was very well looked after.

Why choose something else if Hotel Abruzzi has the best Pantheon view and the best value for money in Piazza della Rotonda? When you open the window of your room you see history, legend and contemporary life all together. You are in the centre of the scene and it is wonderful.
The entrance in tiny but the warm smile of the receptionists are wide and their attitude to help impressing. The lift starts from the first floor so they carry your luggage in your room.
When you reach the first floor, there is a small common living room with Pantheon view to relax , read your book or surf on internet (it is free and has good signal even in the rooms).
In the room , except for the stunning view, you can find all you need: tv with cable channels, fridge, tea and coffee tray, excellent free wifi internet, 2 extra pillows, extra blankets, safe and sound proof walls and windows.
In the Pantheon view bathroom, we found even personal care soap for the bidet.
Breakfast is a few steps away, crossing the square at number 6 of Piazza della Rotonda.
If you wish you can have it outside facing the Pantheon and the fountain, otherwise inside at the ground floor or at the first floor with a beautiful view of the Piazza.
There are 2 buffet , each in every floor and even at Christmas time it was easy to find a table. The hotel has an agreement with this restaurant: Scusate il Ritardo, so you are entitled to a discount if you have lunch or dinner there. When we tried their menu we were really surprised by the quality.
Our experience at the Abruzzi was more than positive and we will certainly repeat it again.

Room Tip: ask a Pantheon view or a fountain + Pantheon view. Our room was the 104 at the first floor, cheaper...

My review is late-coming; we stayed here September 4-6, 2013. Nonetheless, our stay at this wonderful hotel was perfect. The staff and manager are so friendly and gracious. We were the first people to stay in the top floor suite, overlooking the Pantheon. The room was meticulously renovated with top-of-the-line modern furnishings. The large bedroom had a comfortable king size bed and two windows overlooking the Pantheon and square. The windows were soundproof so you could not hear the sounds from the square (which is great if you want to sleep). The bathroom had sleek, modern fixtures. The second bedroom had a full-size bed perfect for our teenage son. We arrived before check-in time, so we used the guest lounge and bathrooms on the second floor to re-group, and then the hotel stored our bags while we started our touring. When we returned late afternoon, they had already delivered our bags to our beautiful room. What a lovely surprise.

The room was well equipped with a sophisticated entry lock system, wi-fi, safe, coffee maker, mini-bar, cable tv, nice bathroom toiletries-- everything we would need during our stay.

Breakfast was included at a café across the square. It consisted of a buffet with plenty of food choices. They even made fresh cappuccino for us.

The location of this hotel is fantastic. The historic area is so nice to walk around. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Rome in the future. I'm giving this hotel 5-stars because of the perfect location and beautiful room-- it was perfect for us. Thank you, Hotel Abruzzi for a wonderful stay.

I have just returned from a four night stay. My room was the 103. First foor very nice and clean room with a small bathroom. My room with a great view of the Pantheon... Staying at this hotel you really can feel the history and the tradition af this great city.
Maybe you can hear a Little the sounds of the people who are walking down the Street, but I did not care..
Staff also very friendly speaking english and spanish, and allways trying to help you. Breakfast good very near the hotel.
I recommend this hotel very much and soon I hope to stay again.
