“Not even 3 stars”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We had room 305 w the BEST corner view of piazza & Pantheon. Yes, the view is VERY beautiful... But if I had it to do over I would go for comfort vs location. Think about it... You really don’t spend much time in your hotel looking out the window anyway.... What really matters in a hotel... Quiet room, nice showers/bathroom, comfy bed, convenient yummy free breakfast, good fast internet connection... This place had NONE of this! Definitely needs a remodel! Elevator doesn’t go to first floor so you have to carry heavy luggage up a flight of stairs! Yes, they do offer breakfast BUT its not on premises and doesn’t start until 730, Walls are thin, and piazza below is LOUD. Instant coffee? Really?

Room Tip: Room 305 is best w views of Piazza & Pantheon!

Dear Guest,

I respect your opinion but I would like to tell you that all the rooms in our hotel are equipped with: free speed wifi connection, double glazed window, tea and coffe maker for free, mini-bar, safe box, TV with international channels, room service, private air conditioning and the best view of the Pantheon.

About the breakfast we offer: milk, american and italian coffe, yougurt, fruits, cakes, cereals, eggs and bacon, croissant, juice and bread; it's a beautiful solution because all the guest can look the Pantheon having the breakfast

Best regards

Albergo Abruzzi is small, but tidy. The perfect situation balances all small quirks. (tiny shower e.g.). I had room 304 where the window opens up directly on The Pantheon. It costs exactly what you would have to expect. This part of the historical centre is closed to cars; what you hear is the constant murmur of countless people. Breakfast is served in he bar/restaurant IL Ritardo across the piazza. Excellent. Warning: You may get addicted and stay here for the rest of your life.

Room Tip: 304 with a splendid view.

Our first time in Rome was a special visit and the Hotel Abruzzi was the perfect hotel for us.We were picked up at the airport (arranged by the hotel) and we were delighted to experience a level of service to match the breathtaking location. The hotel offers just what a city break traveller needs; spotless accommodation, clean and adequate surroundings and efficient, pleasant and helpful staff. There are dozens of restaurants and bars in the vicinity and many of Rome's main attractions.Certainly a hotel which we will use again.

Stayed in the Abruzzi for 4 nights in mid March. If you are looking for a hotel with location and views then do not even look any further than here. I stayed in room 205 with a Pantheon view room and it overlooks the Pantheon and the busy square below. I really do not have much to write about the hotel as it does what it says on the tin, rooms cleaned and linen changed everyday, quick and attentive service with breakfast served in one the the restaurants in the square about 30 yards from the front door. Was my first trip to Rome and booked the hotel 'blind' so to speak but could not have picked a better position if I tried. 3/4 minutes walk to Trevi fountain, 2/3 minutes walk to Fountain of 4 Rivers, 15 minutes walk to forum, 15 minutes walk to Vatican.

3 star , 4/10 (8 / 10 location)
The Pantheon is litterally outside your window. Excellent location
The room was small but tastefully decorated. Quite noise proof considering it sits on a popular square. A/C has no mid setting only freezing or off. Queen sized bed , sheets , Blankets and average pillows
The restraunt is across the square not in the building but only a short walk. Reasonably priced small buffet breakfast.
Wi-fi doen't make it to your room so you will neeed to be in the second floor lounge to get the internet.

Room Tip: Get a cab there. No where to park.

This nice 3 star hotel is located right next to Pantheon in the centre of Rome. You can`t find a better location, and Abruzzi is a exelent choice. We had two rooms in the annex, and we found them very good. Nice and comfortable beds, modern rooms and nice bathrooms. We got vochers for breafast at a local resturant and got a nice surprice. The resturant has a geat view to Phanteon and a real nice buffetbreakfast. We enjoyed bacon & eggs, fresh juices, and a nice cup of coffee. A great start to the day! An exelent choice of hotel in the heart of Rome!

Outstanding location overlooking Pantheon. Walking distance to all the sites. A clean comfortable room with friendly, helpful people, and a good breakfast across the square. Excellent value but small shower. Will definitely stay again.
