“Peaceful location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2014

I stayed here recently for a friends trip to Rome. I stayed here in 2012 with my husband and was not overly impressed but decided to come back because it was easy enough to get into the centre and I was familiar with it. I have, however, noticed good changes with the new management from the first time I stayed. The service, the staff and the hotel structure generally is much better and that I would definitely reccomend this hotel to people now.

The hotel as you will have gathered is quite far out from the city, but has a bus stop right out side which takes about 15 mins to nearest metro. It is not that bad to travel to but one night coming from rome city the metro was shutting early and we missed the last metro back so we had to think about what to do, I looked at the bus map outside the metro and figured we could get on a bus near the hotel, which we did luckily because it was near a large hospital, so we took the bus and luckily managed to get off quite close near the back side of the hotel near the hospital and made it back safely from around the back of the hotel, otherwise a taxi back would have cost loads. The breakfast was fine and the hotel and sorrounding were quite lovely. The pool was nice although we didnt use it.

The hotel is located in quiet surrondings. There is a bus stop just next to the hotel which takes you directly to the city centre. You need to get off at Cipro. Then you will reach Vatican within 10 minute walk. The only inconvenience is that buses go irregularly but it isn't the hotel's fault. From Cipro if you can also take underground to the main sights in Rome.
Rooms are fine, clean, the staff is friendly. Breakfast is ok too.

for all east european visitors you will know when i say"FDGB heim" it is grossly outdated miles from the centrum which makes it impossible to enjoy Romrés nightlife as the last bus is at 11.30. staff were friendly enough but the comfort and standart was less then expected. the beds were glorified camping beds, breakfast was alright. The Internet point was a single compter in the lobby which was not working, The TV is so small I could not see the picture properly and there was no luxury in any shape or form. I was appalled and if it would not have been for my my very tolerant husband i would have found a different place to stay. It is a definate NO GO!!!!

Room Tip: don^t book it

Stayed here on a university trip in April 2011, it was ok to just sleep in but has a huge fence surrounding it and seems like a prison.
To get to central Rome was a nightmare wouldn't even call it close! the metro is a 20 minute taxi ride away and it costs a fortune just to get there, the nearby town is terrifying and you have to cross a busy motorway just to get there. There is no where to eat nearby and the food in the hotel is awful!

Like a jail! It was one of the worst hotels I have ever seen... I had to sty there as I was on business trip and there were no other options around this area but instead of staying there I would prefer to stay far far away... People at the reception were rude, the room was dirty and I couldn't even open the blinds as I was directly on the ground floor facing a dirty area.
They charged 90Euro fur such a bad room, service and location... Don't go there!!!

Pls, avoid this hotel if you can!
It is really far from city centre and without any kind of public transportation useful to reach it. And there was a tough road to reach it.
The hotel is quite old-fashioned (but it can depend of personal preferences) but I think that we all agree that broken air conditioning system, dry and old bread, limited breakfast selection and poor food quality (we are in Italy!!), broken shutter and... 2 beetles below the bed has been really enough!
Do consider the amount paid, I strongly do not reccomend this hotel. I have already complained with the tour operator, Europamundo, hoping they won't carry anymore other people there!
