We chose this hotel, because it's close to the Termini station and in the walking distance to many attractions. We spent 6 nights and had a pleasant stay overall. The room is very clean and spacious. The breakfast is sufficient with a wide selection. The staff is friendly and helped us to make our trip enjoyable. We will choose this hotel again if we had a change to visit Rome again.

The Medici hotel is locate in very good place,
close to the center (about 10 minutes from Pazza Barberiny &15 min from Trevi Fountain )
The rooms are medium size, the bath is big and new.
The staff at the reception are helpfull and smily.
next to the hotel (next door) there's the best pizza in Rome "Pinsere"
dont miss this place.

We were a group of 15 people and we stayed in Medici for 2 nights. We were all impressed by staff's services and their hospitality! After a horrible experience with another hotel (we booked it 1 month ago but 2 days before our arrival we realised that our reservation did not exist!), we found this hotel and we were amazed by Mr Dario's behaviour (one of the clerks there), we talked on the phone and although our visa card had a problem he agreed to reserve the rooms for us and we paid when we got there! The rooms were clean and the breakfast amazing! They served the best croissants, cereals, fresh milk, excellent coffee (real italian espresso), bread, cheese, ham, yoghurt, fruits. They were very friendly, they explained us how to get to different place in Rome, which buses to take, everything. We will miss Medici hotel!!!

I only have good things to say about my stay at this Hotel, the room was cute and cozy, the linens and towels were up to par. The breakfast was good I enjoyed a ham and cheese sandwich, they also provide cream cheese, Nutella, pastries, and the coffee of your choice.

Hotel staff were very helpful and courteous.

The Restaurant across the street is good.

What a nice place; after our horrible experience with the Marco Polo so-called Hotel we were directed to this well situated Hotel whose staff made efforts to make our stay pleasant. Nice, good size clean rooms (for the same price range as the previous ghetto), they helped us with directions where to go and the full breakfast was great. At the end of our stay they got us into a very nice transportation to the airport. "Thank you Medici for saving our trip".

Remember it is a 3star city hotel, so it is kind of basic, but the location is very good.
We walked to and from the hotel to all the major sites in this beautiful city.
The rooms are fine, the interiors are a little old but it is charming somehow though. Our room faced the street in front of the hotel, a small homey street and the little noise out side did not bother us at all. Staff was so and so, some really nice and some not - but you spent so little time at the hotel anyway, so why let the staff bother you - just smile yourself ;).
The breakfast room in the basement was unattractive though and they could do a little better on the breakfast buffet - coffee is really good though. But there is a local bakery in the street, where you can go if you get tired of the breakfast served at the hotel.
Overall a good, basic 3star hotel with great location.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Medici Hotel is the perfect hotel for visiting Rome: the building is close some of the major monuments of downtown, about 10-15 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain, the Quirinal Palace, Villa Borghese and Via Veneto, the street well known for Fellini's movie "La dolce vita", symbol of "the sweet life" of stars and jet set personalities. The hotel is also close to Termini Station, then thanks to the Metro and public transport it is easily to reach anywhere else in Rome. The Medici Hotel offers to guests large and comfortable living rooms: the TV room, a comfortable meeting room for 8-10 people, the breakfast room where breakfast is served as a rich buffet breakfast (during the summer months it is possible to have breakfast in our beautiful outdoor garden). The rooms have every comfort (Wifi, Safety Deposit Box, Telephone, Air Conditioning, Laundry Service, Tv, Mini Bar, Room Service, Private Bathroom). The Medici Hotel is located within the Aurelian Walls, near the The Gardens of Sallust, a significant archaeological site: for this reason inside the hotel are visible some Roman remains found during the renovation works at the beginning of twentieth century. The area is lively and well served by bars, restaurants, pizzerias and shops during the day, it is quiet and peaceful at night. ... more   less
