This is an incredible jewel in a very busy city. I was so surprised by this very small hotel, only 6 rooms and very private in a perfect location. The staff and owners were so friendly and helpful. We arrived late (around 4:00 pm... and Thomas was waiting for us to arrive, to carry our bags.) We thought we were too tired to do anything but once we saw our room we were rejuvenated. The room was spacious with high ceilings, wood floors, very tastefully decorated, and the largest bathroom we had seen in Italy. Historically beautiful area and so quiet. The windows we high tech and closed out all sound and light if you needed. My husband and I are very early risers and woke up at 11:30 am, we thought there was something wrong with our watches. Walkable to all major areas, easy bus route from the train station and next to a taxi stand. The owner arranged our transportation to the airport and was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful... We will stay there our next trip.

Room Tip: I believe any room would be great in this hotel.

Loved this centrally located Bed and Breakfast located right across the street from the very spot that Caesar was stabbed on his way to the Forum. It is very easy to walk to many major attractions including the Pantheon, the Colosseum and the Forum. Breakfast was brought right into our room. The hosts were VERY helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this rental and would stay here again.

We spent a couple of nights, this B&B is adorable.
Location it's very good. Near of everything, we have almost never took a taxy, bus or train, we walked everywhere. Walking around you can see different things of Rome
Excellent service, everything perfect. Breakfast could be served in you room or either you could have it in the balcony.
Room was ver y classically decorated which I love it!

This hotel was adorable and totally perfect for our needs.
It's very private; there are only a few rooms in use at any given time so it is not like a typical large (or even small) hotel. There is someone at the front desk most of the day but it is empty from the early-ish evening until morning. There is in-room breakfast service in the morning and of course they make up the room while you are out. The friendly staff were very helpful and we were even able to get picked up from the airport for a late night check-in.
The room itself was great. Large and comfortable and with a newly remodeled bathroom that was very luxurious.
The location is pretty much ideal. It is centrally located to most of the attractions in Rome without being near the tourist throngs. That said, the intersection it's on has lots of car traffic and gets noisy fairly early in the morning.
I really loved this place because it was small, intimate, and atypical. It was kind of like renting an apartment for 4 days with breakfast and maid service. Awesome! The value is also superb for what you are getting. Just keep in mind if you are looking for a more fancy full-service hotel this isn't that kind of place. It's really more like a B&B.

Rlais Teatro Argentina is a small six room B&B, right in the heart of the old city. We spent six nights in the Verde room, which was by far the largest European hotel room I have ever stayed in.
The room was very classically decorated with large windows and a very modern four piece bathroom (toilet, bidet, sink, and shower), that even has a heated towel rack. The doorless shower is a bit small for two, but with some imagination you can make it work. :)
Our room was equipped with a flat screen TV and DVD player, but we never turned it on. The shelves in the hallway are stocked with both English and Italian books, DVDs, and Blue Ray movies for quiet rainy days.
The location is fantastic for seeing the city as nearly everything is within walking distance. Over six days my wife and I saw an amazing amount of the city, and the only things that we needed transportation for were the Borghese Gallery and the catacombes. The Colosseum is 1.5 miles, so that may be a bit of a hike for some but Vatican city, Piazza Novona, Campo de' Firori, Spanish Steps, National Museum, and so much more are all within easy walking distance. Being in the center of town, and right of off a busy street means that it can be noisy at times, but no where near as loud and obnoxious as the densely touristy hotel areas near the Vatican or the Colosseum.
The staff speaks excellent English, and is incredibly helpful. Keep in mind this is a small B&B so there is no concierge, and most of the time there is no staff on site, but honestly you won't miss it.
The hotel offers a car service from the airport for only 5 Euro more than taking a cab, this is well worth while as the driver will pick you up at customs and you can skip the crazy cab queue. You can pick up a cab back to the airport at the taxi stand at Largo Argentina, right outside the hotel.
One last note, my wife and I decided when we booked to book without the breakfast option as we decided we could save some money and go out for breakfast each morning (there are probably 10 places to get breakfast within a four block radius), however when we checked in we were told breakfast was included so we happily partook on a few days. Just before we left it was mentioned that we were told in error and that breakfast was not actually included, however we were not charged. Breakfast was a huge basket of bread, cappuccino, and yogurt, and is server in your room.

Would recommend this guest house if you want a centrally located place to stay. Nicely appointed room, high quality bathroom and friendly staff. The location if perfect. Only a few minutes walk from the Pantheon.

They say "it's the people that make the place" well this hotel illustrates this. The owners cannot do enough to help and are extremely welcoming. Prior to our visit they recommended places to eat and helped us book tickets for a couple of events. The location is ideally situated with all the key attractions only walking distance away and a couple of highly recommended restaurants even closer (I will add these reviews shortly). The room we stayed in was very charming and the breakfast was generous, just what we needed before a days sight seeing!
