My husband and i stayed in Relais Teatro Argentina for four nights in November. It was our first time in Rome. We have looked for a spacious hotel with a swimming pool at first place but were really fascinated by the pictures of Relais Teatro Argentina and decided to try this one. And we didn't regret our decision at all. We asked for a quiet room as it was our short break from a busy family life with two little kids and we couldnt wish for more but some sleep in the morning. And we were allocated in a quiet beautiful room with lovely bathroom with plenty of original features. The hotel staff was very friendly and we were given some good tips on where to dine on the evening we've arrived. The next day Carlotta, after finding out what our interests were, sugested us the trip route we could do and we have planned it with her for the rest of our stay. She kindly booked the tickets for us online and has given us some useful hints how to avoid queues and where to buy tickets. She has also suggested us to see Trastevere- the part of Rome which is not central, on the other side of the Tiber but very beautiful and charming and not so touristy-busy. The location is fantastic, we walked absolutely everywhere from Pantheon to Vatican, leaving early morning and coming back in the evening. After a busy day it felt like coming back home, a beautiful home. We have seen the other rooms too and they were all arranged with a big attention to details, some bigger which would suit the family with kids. And we have decided that we are definitely going to come back to Rome and we will stay in Relais Theatro Argentina. A hidden gem in Rome!

Room Tip: Blue room where we have stayed was quiet but double glazing is planned to be fit in other rooms faci...

I loved my short stay here. High ceilings, modern bathroom, television, minibar and wifi access made me feel comfortable and at ease. The breakfast was also lovely- tea/coffee, juice, yogurt, cereal, pastries. I might have liked some fresh fruit as well. The location was also ideal. From the hotel I walked everywhere- st. peter's, pantheon, coloseum etc. Finally the service was exceptional. I liked feeling that I had privacy, but also that there were resources available to me for directions, dinner recommendations, etc. Definitely highly recommended!

Just returned from a weekend stay with my two friends, the room we had was brilliant huge comfy beds lovely modern bathroom and a great size. Breakfast was served in our room by a very helpful young man who couldn't do enough for you. Having searched on trip adviser i booked this place and im so glad i did the location was perfect 5 min walk from the Pantheon and the other attractions were all within walking distance except the Vatican which we jumped on a bus to see. The red open top sightseeing bus is very helpful you can jump on and off. Carlotta and Marco arranged a car to meet us at the airport which costs 5 euros more than a taxi ( 55) but worth it so no queing at the airport, on the return a taxi rank is across the road from the relais which is easy. I will definatly stay here when i bring my husband next time.

Rooms were large, clean and well furnished. In all of Italy you will find the breakfast @ B&Bs to be breads, fruit, cereals, coffee, juice and yogurts. Here the breads were fresh with lots of choices and the staff did well to remember our preferences over the several days. Carlotta & Marco Fè d'Ostiani are on site by 8ish and are extremely helpful. As with most B&Bs they need to know your arrival times specifically so they can return to let you in and get you settled. Their assistant is a very sweet gentleman. Do not get from him that he is not happy or willing to help because he is, he just doesn't speak much english. On our last day, Carlotta worked extra hard to locate a driver for us from Salerno to Positano. While their presence might not be 24 hrs. a day, they more than make up for it w/ the type of service they give while there. My only comment is that if you are a light sleeper, this might be hard for you. The train/bus and taxis are all right at this intersection which is very convenient but also noisy. I benefited from using two white noise apps (iphone & Kindle) in the room to mask the noise.

Room Tip: Sleep quality was only judged based on noise. Everything else about the quality of the rooms is wond...

The location's excellent, with all the main sights within walking distance yet giving the feeling that you can escape the tourist crowd. The room was gorgeous, with plenty of space and very tastefully furnished. The staff were wonderfully helpful during our stay and were keen to do whatever they could to make our holiday go smoothly, from suggesting walking routes to find hidden gems, to booking restaurant tables for us. We'll definitely stay again.

We stayed 2 nights at this wonderful B and B in early September. Being a first timer in Rome, I was very anxious of what type of accommodation is waiting for us when we get there. I made reservations by directly emailing them and Carlotta was very prompt in replying back. We exchanged a few emails because I had questions that she patiently and satisfactorily answered. She also arranged for a private car for our transport from and to the airport. The location is EXCELLENT - as others said, close to everything - the pantheon, the colosseum, trevi fountain, grocery, pharmacy, bank, restaurants, the Gesu church, etc. - and very accessible to pubic transportation. The room itself (3 single bed) was huge (per European standard) and the bathroom (very important!!!) was very clean and modern and roomy. They also provide towels and basic toiletry. Breakfast was basic and sufficient (their Italian coffee was very good). Carlotta and the staff were VERY helpful to us the whole time we stayed there. Aside from providing us suggestions on where to eat, they provided us things we needed like cellphone adaptor, extra toiletry, even helped us follow up on my friend's lost luggage. On our last day, since one of our friends got really ill, Carlotta and Thomas went to the extent of providing another room for our friend to stay at until we leave for the airport that afternoon (needed to stay past check out and the next occupants of our room were checking in early). Regarding the noise, i hear a siren every 15-30 minutes everywhere we go in Rome and they say that's the norm. At night, you'll hear some noise (it is downtown after all) but since we were all so tired from all the walking we did all day plus the very good Italian wine we had with dinner, we slept soundly throughout the night. My friends and I are very happy that we chose to stay here. No regrets at all - will be staying here again. :-)

We stayed here for 3 nights in early September. We were greated by the owners at the day of arrival, got some nice advice for a cosy afternoon walk and a great restaurant tip, but for the rest of our stay we only met the staff who served breakfast. Thus service gets a low score. The breakfast was simple but ok; bread, jams, butter, yoghurt, cereal, coffee/tea and juice. The room was spacious, airconditioned, nicely decorated and very clean. Negative is that the windows overlook the popular, opposite balkony, thus the privacy was so and so. Beds were quite hard plus the noise from outside leads to a low sleep quality score. The location however could not be any better. Walking distance to all tourist attractions, to shopping and to great restaurants and bars at night. Over all a nice, cozy, somewhat pricey BnB in the best possible location.
