The apartment was in a great location. Close to walk to everything but down a private road so it was quiet. The owner was pleasant and met us on arrival and allowed my daughter access a few hours early as she arrived before the rest of us.
There are some things that could be done to make the stay more enjoyable. New towels and new pillows ( both are very old and hard) and more than one pillow per person, a fan that is in working condition (air conditioner only for bedroom), make all wall outlets functional, new mini fridge( current one is barely cold). All smaller things but make a big difference.
Lovely apartment very close to Trevi fountain but tucked away from traffic and crowds. The apartment itself has everything you need and is full of character, although kitchen is very small, it does the job.
Perfect location, walk everywhere. Very little street noise. Pictures are accurate. As with many places in Rome you should book ride from airport or you will have difficulty finding it. Would have been convenient to have had written directions for wash machine and a little more contact with owner in days before arrival. Would definitely stay there again though as it was a beautiful place
My wife and I spent a week in the apartment. It is roomy, comfortable, and in a great location for walking to many sites, The owner , Agnese, was very helpful with arranging the driver from and to the airport. There were , however, some problems . The washing machine did not work, the internet connect was spotty, one day the hot water heater went out and we took cold showers. Agnese corrected these items promptly, except for the washing machine which remained out of order. Over all, we liked the place and would recommend it if you can take a few inconveniences.
Agnese the owner organized a taxi for us - from and to the airport, which was a great help. She waited for us on the street when we arrived, explained everything and gave us some good tips (pre book visit to the colosseum and Vatican, and San Crispino Gelato.. :)). The apartment is in a great location - central and quite, and safe at night. Supermarket and restaurants nearby, as well as buses and shops.
We walked anywhere, except to the Vatican (took the bus). The apartment is very authentic, clean and cozy (looks exactly like in the pictures). Don't count on cooking there (kitchen is tiny) - but who wants to, when there's so much great food outside. We did use the refrigerator and toaster, and some dishes for breakfast. Agnese was very helpful when we had wifi problem and immediately provided us with another network. We had a great Rome experience in this apartment. The double bed was a little noisy. Shower was great, no hot water problem.
With the smells of the locals cooking their meals next door and the view of the Presidential Palace (backside) this apartment was wonderful. However, there is a pretty steep hill from the road or alternatively, many steps to reach the actual apartment. This was only an inconvenience on arrival with luggage, but not a problem daily. Plus there is a Sentry posted at the bottom of the hill so the area felt very safe! You are literally minutes away from the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, shopping, restaurants, etc. Agnese was a delightful host and we would definitely stay here again!!
Perfectly sited flat for wherever you want to travel to in Rome - but in a quiet side street just steps away from it all. And nicely cool and shady to return to.
