i thought we would be arriving to a spacious, inviting hotel, but no such thing.
dear trip advisor... would you please ban the use of wide-angle shots by hotels - it is totally misleading and very disappointing when you arrive at your destination.
the place was pokey small, no mirror in the room except in the bathroom which is very annoying if there are 2 people sharing. i agree with the other reviewer, the place had a stale smell about it which you simply couldnt get rid of even by keeping the window open wide for half an hour. hair dryer was coming off the wall and electrically unsafe. breakfast was adequate but didnt change in all our 4 mornings there. the cheese they serve was leathery and tasteless and if you didnt like it, then tough - there was no choice of cheese - given that this is Italy - one would expect a choice of irresistable cheeses. enough said. not the best place to choose - and definitely will not go there again!

After reading the reviews about this hotel I was a little worried about what I'd booked. It was a 25 minute walk from Termini station.

We arrived and a friendly guy on reception checked us in. We then got into a very small lift and went to our room (203). It was small but clean and had a comfortable bed. It had a mini bar although we didn't use it and we actually hung our wet clothes near it as it was giving off so much heat! The air con was quiet noisy and didn't really cool the room down so we opened the window instead.
The bathroom was small but had a large mirror, sink, toilet and shower. The shower was very small though. We had clean towels every day and the sheets were changed during our 3 night stay.
There wasn't a mirror in the room which was annoying when trying to do your hair and make up when your partner is in the bathroom.
It didn't matter that the room wasn't particularly attractive as we were there to look at Rome, not at the bedroom.
Breakfast was a selection of two cereals, tea, coffee, fruit juice, boiled eggs, cold meat and cheese, yoghurts, fruit and very hard rolls. It was served from 7am to 10.30am.
To sum it up, it was a comfortable, clean hotel but definitely not 4 star.

Easy to reach - take 38 bus from Termini, bus stop 3, Piazza Fiume. We had room 402 which had a small balcony so we could watch the locals go about their business which was great. It was our first visit to Rome and it just blew us away!!! We bought a Roma Pass for 30 euros and it more than paid for itself - we got free entry to Colisseum and Forum cutting out the queues and hopped on an off buses and trains at will. We booked a Vatican tour online from the Vatican website in advance and it was good value. Note - if you go to St Pietro's Basillica on a Wed morning by about 10.30am you can see the Pope! We were about 6 feet away - just amazing and totally unexpected - the highlight of a great break.

Room Tip: Room 402 - central front, with balcony

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are lovely – ours had a balcony and we spent one evening have a some wine and cheese while reflecting on our day. The staff is friendly and the breakfast was very good. The only drawback was the location. It was a 5 minute walk from the Borghese Gallery, but a cab or bus is required to get to the other attractions in Rome.

We arrived in Rome in October 2011. The hotel was ideally situated for us, near to a small supermarket, cellular shop, bus stops and a metro sation less than a kilometer away. We were also in walking distance of the Galleria Borghese. We were also just a five minute taxi ride from the Termini Stazione and a 15 minute taxi ride from the Vatican. There were also lots of little restaurants in the immediate area.

The hotel room itself was tidy with its own bathroom and the service was good. Our room which was a double overlooked a side street. My sisters single room overlooked the gardens of the buildings next door and had a small balcony that proved to be very useful for evening snacks and a glass of wine. There was a full breakfast available. The reception staff were very helpful, going out of their way to help us ensure a visit to the Galleria Borghese for which we had not booked. There is the tiniest elevator, taking just two people at a time, if you're not claustrophobic it's OK, if you are just close your eyes or use the stairs if you are able.

The only down factor was the smell of sewerage outside the rooms, especially on the 3rd floor. Fortunately this did not come into the rooms. The cost of 2 people for 4 nights in October 2011 cost us 600 Euros which we thought was very reasonable. There was an extra levy per day that had to be paid over and above the cost of the hotel. There was a sign in the lift informing us of this additional cost.

Room Tip: Try and get a room with a balcony

for a short stay in Rome i though the Executive will be a good, low cost option. This hotel is supposed to be 4 stars could be barely 2.
The staff is polite but not friendly, our room 404 was horrible with empty snaks under the beds (none cleans under the beds?), stains on the curtains and the carpet.
very dark, not enough light, no mirrors and even not a simple decoration!
just poor!
no curtain on the shower so all the bathroom becomes a swimming pool...
the breakfast is very basic and location - not the best... about 15 mins walk from Via Veneto.
no shops or restaurants nearby.
free wi-fi only in the lobby.
