just back from a 4 night stay here. We always stay here when in Rome it is fantastic for centro storico and very clean. We walked from the train station this time and it took us 20 minutes! . This time the hotel had created a lovely rooftop terrace for breakfast and evening cocktails. Front desk staff lovely as were all staff we met. We look forward to the next time at De Petris

Room Tip: Some rooms and bathrooms are small but fine for our needs.

This hotel is really worn down and it needs to be refurbished! The room was not very clean, but it looked more dirty then what it was, because it was so worn down. The breakfast was OK, nothing special to say about that. The location is great! You can walk everywhere in the city center. This was a big plus. The was helpful before arrival to arrange transportation from the airport to the hotel!

Dear Guest,
Your comment does not meet at all other guests comments (not just one). It quite seems you have been in another Hotel.
Our Hotel is always being refubished with many many works in order to make it as new and confortable as possible.

Concenring the breakfast.....well.. maybe it is not even necessary to answer seen that the most of our clients love to have breakfast on the roof with a beautiful city view.

Best Regards

The service at the front desk is wonderful, they are always so helpful and friendly and really go the extra mile for their guests. Staying here was great because we were close to everything! Shopping, monuments, squares, great restaurants, laundry mat and close to pick up stops for tour buses. The room was very clean and they took great care to keep it clean every day. There is a computer for guests with internet and wi-fi as well which was helpful. There is an elevator for each floor and a beautiful roof top lounge that has an awesome view. On your first night you get a free drink in the lounge where the service is equally great. Our hotel was quiet even though we were so close to downtown. For the price you get quite a lot!

What a wonderfully friendly boutique type hotel close to many of Romes great sights!! The staff was so friendly and helpful, breakfast was perfect to start your day on the roof top garden!! Really really happy with our pick, again the location was perfect ( very close to the metro as well, which made it a quick trip to the Vatican City). Room was small but okay for two of us... And who in Rome spends much time one the room anyways??? It was beautifully remodeled, nice bathroom!! My husband and I would absolutely stay again!

We stayed in Hotel de Petris for three nights and hade a great time. The reception staff was very helpful and we never had to wait long for an answer to any of our questions. The location is just perfect. We had friends staying in other places in Rome, bit this hotel quickly became the natural place to meet up for our walks to the different landmarks. The breakfast at the roof garden was a nice way to start the day with some good italian dishes besides the standard choice. The room was clean with good AC. The power in the shower could have been better and the wifi did not work in our room (but was ok in other common areas). Overall a very nice hotel which we absolutely will consider coming back to on our next trip to Rome. We will definitely recommend it to our friends back home in Sweden.

I stayed in Hotel De Petris for a week and had a triple room as I was travelling with friends. The room was quite spacious and had a really nice bathroom with a powerful shower. Everything was really clean. We had a balcony too which had a table and chairs on and we could get wifi in the room which was really helpful.
All the staff were so friendly and helpful to us - whenever we needed directions they gave us really thorough information. They were also really helpful before we came and answered all our questions via e-mail. We arranged a transfer from the airport which was really efficient and it came exactly on time.
Breakfast was very nice too, there is a good amount of choice. It was on the roof garden which is so pretty and it was nice to be outside.
The location is one of the best things about the hotel, we were within walking distance of most landmarks and when we weren't within walking distance, the metro station and Termini train station are a short walk away. There are also loads of buses which are only a short walk away. There is also a supermarket just down the road from the hotel which we found really useful. There are many many restaurants and places to buy ice-cream which are very nearby so we never ran out of choice.
I would 100% recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again if I ever return to Rome!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main building, they are really nice and modern

I arranged for 23 people to stay at this hotel as part of a group trip in June/July 2014. While we had some challenges up front in getting the rooms booked, once we arrived the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

The rooms were all very modern and ranged from typical European size rooms to very spacious. I did not try the breakfast but many of my group did and said it was very good.

The location of the hotel was excellent being within walking distance of most major attractions in Rome. When returning from the Vatican one day, 2 of the group decided to walk and we only beat them by about 10 minutes by taking the train. Trevii Fountain and Spanish Steps are 10 minute walk. Colosseum and Roman Forum are 20-25 minutes.

Rooms prices were very reasonable for the location and quality of rooms.

The hotel has an excellent roof-top patio and bar. The only thing the hotel could do to improve would be to open this patio for longer hours. It is only open from 5-8 which doesn't work well if you want to return home from dinner and have a drink at night overlooking Rome. We even asked if they could leave the patio open with the bar closed and this wasn't possible either. So we ended up spending our money at other bars in the area instead of back at the hotel.

Despite this though, I would highly recommend this hotel. Price, staff, and location were a great combination.

Room Tip: We stayed in the main hotel, they do have another building across the street but we didn't see t...
