This was a return visit to this hotel, staying for 3 nights. We had previously stayed here in June 2012. The hotel is so convenient to everything. Walking distance to Trevi, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Piazza Navona and Vatican City. The breakfast was included in our stay and although not different each day, certainly of a good standard for Italy. Rooms are small, but we were not here to stay in our rooms so that did not matter. Very clean small boutique hotel and well worth a look at. Only frustration is slow wifi and having the enter your password in everytime I wanted to use my ipad to email family/friends at home.

The good:
- nice clean rooms
- ok beds (hard but that is as everywhere in south europe)
- close to everything
- OK breakfast, good espresso
- good service

To improve:
- wifi access, both coverage as well as authentication method (not funny entering user/password every time you want to access the network)
- to much street noise but ok with earplugs when sleeping - or get room not facing the street :-)

Thank Tobias G

We stayed at the Memphis for 3 nights over the August Bank holiday w/e and enjoyed the hotel and it's environs.
Pretty good location and close to the Metro and Spanish Steps plus Trevi Fountain all within a 5 minutes walk.
Hotel very clean and rooms OK but a bit cramped, we stayed in room 303 which overlooked the street which was a bit noisy but if you stay in the city centre you have to expect the accompanying noise. Small fridge and good bathroom with shower but no bath.
Breakfast was good and with plenty of fruit and continental style meat, cheese and eggs.
No hotel bar but a couple of bars close by.
Staff friendly and wifi worked well for us both.
Overall a nice hotel and we would recommend it for others.

This is the most fabulous little hotel within walking distance of all the tourist spots in Rome that you possibly wish for. The entire staff are extremely helpful and courteous, the decor is modern and spotlessly clean. My partner and I let our travel agent in Australia book all our hotels for our 7 week trip and on our arrival were pleasantly surprised with every aspect of wonderful hotel. I honestly feel that 5 stars is under rating them and look forward to telling as many people as possible about this gem of a hotel. THANKYOU to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

We stayed in Rome for two nights to see the sights before boarding a ship for a Med Greek Isle Cruise. We arrived about noon from an overnight flight and even though check in was later, they had our room ready. After having some lunch at a nearby cafe, we went back and had an afternoon nap to help with jet lag. The rooms had darkening curtains and the hotel very quiet. The location was just minutes from the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Perfect location for walking to all the sites. The rooms were small but clean. The bathroom was very nice, and included a blow dryer. This was the first time to stay in a European hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. Good buffet breakfast. Helpful and Friendly front desk staff.

Stayed for two nights whilst visiting the sites in Rome. Perfect location just around the corner from the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Compact but very clean and smart room with quality fittings. Buffet breakfast was available from a pleasant dining room. Free internet access for 24hrs. Excellent value for money.

The Good: This hotel is very centrally located. It is about 5 minutes walk to Trevi fountain, 10 minutes to Spanish steps, 15 minutes to Pantheon, and 20 minutes to Roma Termini central train station. The hotel is hidden on a small street and is a little hard to find.

The Bad: Internet does not work at all. You are given a 10 digit username and 10 digit password which must be entered seemingly every 15 minutes. Additionally, the wifi here is slower than any dial-up Internet I have ever seen. It takes 2 minutes to download a short email. You can forget about streaming a video or even a song. The shower in my room was backed up after 1 minute of showering. The TV remote control did not work and the blow dryer looks like a vacuum cleaner from the 60's. breakfast is bad, even by continental breakfast standards. The only plus side is the guy who works the breakfast shift makes an amazing cappuccino which is not available unless he specifically offers to make it for you (he is the sole reason this hotel gets 2 stars).

The Ugly: Bed is horrible and makes sleep impossible. As mentioned by previous reviewers the beds are truly horrible and I woke up with back problems every morning. Additionally, the walls are paper thin and I could hear my neighbors every conversation. Not to mention that whenever anyone in the hotel opens their door it gives off an unnecessarily loud buzz for about 15 seconds. While I appreciate good air conditioning I would also like the ability to turn it off. This hotel seems to freeze you and do not even give you a comforter.

Final Verdict: Amazing location but restful sleep is impossible. What is the point of being close to the sights if you will be tired the entire time...better avoid this place or at least get a double helping of the cappuccino.
