We stayed in this lovely hotel recently. It is only a minute to the Piazza Del Popolo, five minutes walk to the Spanish Steps, and a twenty minute stroll to the Vatican. We booked the executive room and it had a room safe, the bed was very comfortable. As others have pointed out the rooms are small but its balcony more than made up for that. While a balcony is not necessary during the winter months it would be wonderful in the summer .But in a city like Rome you are going to be out seeing all the sights so the room size was not as relevant as it would be on a beach type holiday for us as a couple anyway. The breakfast room while in the basement was very bright and cheerful and the breakfast provided was lovely, plenty cold meat, cheese, juice, fruit, bread etc.The staff were very courteous and pleasant. I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again. The Christmas lights in Rome were fabulous and the Christmas tree on the Spanish Steps was wonderful at night time. The area around the Piranesi is lovely and safe, the shopping streets are only a short walk, and I would want our daughter to stay in this hotel if she travels to Rome.

When wet ravel we always look for a hotel that is in the nicest possible area, safe, comfy and close to quality shops, restaurants and cafés. The Piranesi it is ll this and some!

It is a small hotel in an ancient building, so do not look for big rooms on the top floor because you won't find them. But if you want a terrace with a view of Villa Borghese and Casina Valadier which you can't stop looking at and immersing into, feeling and understanding what the Stendhal Syndrome eventually is, if you want to be very close to the best boutiques, Antiques and shops Rome has to offer, this place is for you!

Nice and clean room, kind and helpful staff, ok breakfast .

Being around Europe you find a lot of hotels that are small rooms, old style and not that special but Piranesi was a really beautiful hotel. Old european style but in a classy way, it's closed to all the designer stores and the expensive neighbourhood look.it was not closed to the centre but it was not too far if you want to walk/sightseeing. If you happen to get a big room for 3 people, you will find it comfortable and adequate and had big window balconies facing the street which was actually lovely. Rome is beautiful in every way. Bathroom was a decent size and had been renovated while still keeping the old style in mind. My other friends stayed in a smaller room but it had a priceless luxury: a private garden more like a patio balcony which was the most beautiful athmosphere, you can have a far view of the city but it was great to enjoy having some wine after a busy day. Breakfast was really generous, hotel in general very tidy and comfortable. The only thing I dint like was the elevator, as other old hotels it was small and felt unsafe but there is also stairs so it was not a hassle. Employees were kind and friendly. I will probably go back! Price was excellent and I was relieved to see it was better than expected. Will book again! Recomended for families with older children, couples, friends on holiday, business trips. Quiet athmosphere and pleasant stay.

We spent 3 days in Rome, and stayed at the Hotel Piranese. Friendly staff, clean, quiet, located very close to Villa Borghese and Piazza del Popolo. Nice walk to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Very close to an excellent gelatti place (almost around the corner).

Wifi in lobby and on rooftop terrace... view is very nice from rooftop, and a great place to bring your breakfast. Continental breakfast included.

Two thumbs up from my wife and I !!

This small hotel is in a wonderful location between the Piazza da Spagna and the Piazzi dei Popolo. The rooms are nice, the tubs large enough to soak, and the televisions work. There was a sweet terrace outside the room, perfect for reading the morning paper. The wi-fi was accessable both in the lobby and th roof deck.

The concierges both morning and evening could not hve been more helpful. Their suggestions for restaurants and a hairdresser were spot on. It seemed as though they really cared. As a woman traveling alone, I could not have felt more safe. The Via Babuino is one of the nicest shopping streets with Tiffany on one end and Leger nearby. There wre wonderful spots to stop and have a coffee or granita. The Museum Todolini was a popular coffee stop for Romans in the afternoon.

Room Tip: There is an extra charge for a room with a bathtub.

This hotel is great!
Asked our work travel agents to move me here after seeing that the Westin wanted to charge €455 a night. Found this one on Trip Advisor and it's really good.
It's quiet, rooms are clean (better than the Westin in Milan the previous week which had the previous occupants food in the fridge still!!!), it's close to all the main tourists sites and a buffet
breakfast is included.
I had the standard double and it is small (but perfectly formed). Bed was lovely - very comfortable. Would suggest that maybe people opted for the superior doubles if there are two of you.
Only reason i didn't give it an 'excellent' was that there were tiny issues (marks on curtains, slighty damaged walls, bathroom needs a magnifying mirror due to the fact that the sink sticks out so far that you can't check your make-up properly (it's a girl thing!) BUT apart from that - it's really good and my definate new home when in Rome.
