just got back from Rome and had a lovely time - i had emailed the hotel beforehand to ask if I could have a room at the front and arrived to find that they had given me what i asked for and was upgraded as we were staying for five nights - the service was good the staff pleasant and the room was very comfortable and quiet - it would have been better if there was a restaurant for night time after having had full days of walking we did'nt have much energy to go far for meals but there were good restaurants on the street . could have done with the hotel being a bit closer to all the sights but it was'nt too bad - the metro was handy to go to the vatican though we walked back which was good as i love exploring the many streets of rome you never know what you find round every corner - one tip take a travel kettle with you if you like a cuppa at night - theres a store across the street for milk etc, would recommend this hotel .

Room Tip: ask for a room with windows facing the street

Bailey's Hotel is a hidden gem! It's slightly off the beaten path but an easy 15 minute walk to the Spanish Steps. Very pleasant staff, room very nice, and breakfast good! Staff made dinner reservations for us in Rome as well as in Sienna!

Very enjoyable stay! I definitely recommend this hotel!

This Hotel seems to get very mixed reviews, so I will try and sort out the good and the bad as I see it.
Good - I think the location is fine but it would depend where you were going and I thought the street was interesting.
plenty restaurants nearby and two fantastic ice cream parlours
Service was pleasant nearly everyone was happy and friendly
Rooms were clean
not so good - Rooms slightly small and I think some look into a courtyard so you want one facing out to road
Bathroom small but everything worked
breakfast it's not great and the guy that was doing breakfast was the one who didn't seem to customer focused.

Room Tip: Get a room facing road

Fantastic and comfortable stay at Bailey's this week. Very helpful and friendly staff, and we got a free room upgrade to a beautiful superior room. Very clean and beautifully made up each day.

To get the 5* review from us - I was disappointed to not have tea and coffee facilities in the room, and the breakfast was not up to much. Four night stay and after the first morning we didn't bother going back.

But minor issues, a wonderful stay overall and would happily recommend and return.

I have read other reviews on this hotel and I ask myself am I missing something? For a start the hotel location is far from ideal, it's a good ten minute walk to get to central Rome, there are much closer hotels. The breakfast is extremely basic, a small room with cereals and very small continental choice. The hotel has no restaurant, is in a grotty back street and as for the room...the room? Classed as a small double, it would struggle to fit a single person, we were in room 303 the room was about ten feet by eight feet and with a TV unit and small wardrobe it was ridiculous, we literally had to store our clothes on chairs and a small table, forget the wardrobe, 3 shirts and that's done. Only good point was staff very friendly. Rome is a beautiful place and I recommend anyone to go visit but for God's sake pick a more central hotel, with big rooms and a restaurant. Awful truly awful.

I cannot rate this Hotel more highly. We stayed for 2 nights after our cruise in July. On arrival we were given a map with guidance all explained in English and then shown to our room. A large airy room with all the facilities you would need. The following day we were sightseeing. After an excellent continental breakfast with everything you would want to set you up for a busy day we were again given brilliant directions drawn onto our map of how to reach the bus pick up point.
We left the following day and on arrival back we received a call to say we had left jewellery in the room and the maid had reported this to reception and the agent was contacted who rang our travel agent. It was decided that this would be given to the agent who would bring it back to England who then sent it on recorded delivery. I can only say thank you to the hotel and staff who gave excellent service and honesty and would recommend it to anybody visiting Rome.

Room Tip: Room on floor 6 at rear was large bright and airy

If your travelling and staying in Rome, then i strongly recommend you look at this lovely hotel. We stayed for 2 nights here, the rooms were beautiful ( ask for upgrade rooms), the staff were very friendly and the hotel was VERY comfortable and clean. The morning continental breakfast was very tasty with nice selection.

Its location is in a lovely quiet area of the city with plenty of excellent restaurants all within easy walking distance and very reasonably priced.

If your planning on sightseeing its so very close to the centre with city tour buses within walking distance.

It only has 28 rooms but all very tastily decorated. In the UK we call it a "Boutique Hotel"

Really excellent experience and I strong recommend .

Room Tip: -Choose an Upgrade Room = You wont be disappointed!!
