This hotel is lovely. They provide an excellent breakfast which is an amalgamation of a European and American style breakfast. When we left on a day trip, they even packed us a breakfast to go free of charge! The staff is incredibly helpful and the hotel has several local traditional trattorias that are (mainly) free of the tourist crowd. There is a small coffee shop and an interesting market and enoteca right across the street. Several ATMs are located nearby, as well. My only complaint, and it really isn't even a complaint, is that the hotel is a little far from the main tourist attractions in Rome. The building itself seems to be situated in an area made up mostly of office buildings. Depending on your travel style, this may be perfect for you, but for us we would have preferred to be just a bit closer to the Coliseum and/or the Vatican. If we were older and averse to walking, this would have been a problem, but it worked for us.

Stayed here for 3 nights from 4 May. We had room 103 and it was tiny with no natural light and a shower room so small we had to dry off in the bedroom. There was also very limited storage for our clothes. However the bed was very comfortable. Assume this was one of the cheapest rooms as other rooms seemed much more spacious. Breakfast was plentiful although coffee tasted awful. Staff were really friendly, polite and helpful. Location was quiet but walking distance to all the sites. I would recommend staying at this hotel if you get a decent sized room.

Stayed at Baileys Hotel from 21st to 25th of April this year.Nice quiet location, about a 5 minute walk to Republica Sqare Metro Station, and a 15 minute walk to Spanish Steps.Hotel was small and friendly, and the staff were very helpful. This particulary applied to the staff on the Reception Desk who could not do enough for you. They recommended some really nice restaurants nearby. If you do decide to stay there go for the larger rooms as the smaller ones looked decidedly cramped. All in all an excellent stay and we would go back again.

We are pleased to say we returned to the Baileys recently for our honeymoon. We stayed in a superior double room overlooking via Flavia...it was well worth the money...we had plenty of space and natural light. room 405. The room was extremely comfortable. We took.advantage of the affordable room service and weren't disappointed. The reception team, breakfast team and the porters were all very professional and helpful. Reception recommended 2 wonderful restaurants.. number 44 and da vincenzo. We have many happy memories and will definitely return when we get the chance.

We stayed here for a week from 27/4/2013 to 4/5/20123. Hotel room 505 very clean as was the hotel. Room was adequate for a weeks stay but shower over bath a bit awkward , would have been better with a curtain rather than glass protector. Buffet breakfast very nice . cannot understand why some people complain as the selection was quite sufficient. As to the breakfast room having no windows it was cool and air conditioned. Plenty of nice restaurants in the vicinity especially the Pentolaccia across the road where we ate 4 times. Quite a bit from the Vatican requiring bus or taxi but all other attractions within walking distance. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Don't take a small room.

I will start with the positives..... Location great, bed comfy, sheets good, staff friendly, room clean .....
Now for the negatives...... Room small and dingy, bathroom basic, breakfast terrible, coffee very stewed and offerings for breakfast poor.......asked for porridge as advertised on menu but they didn't have it.breakfast room no natural light as no windows small room .this is not a 4 star hotel by anyone's standards.

This was our second trip to Rome but we won't stay at this hotel again

Room Tip: Stay at Hotel Artemide same rating and value for money......don't pay for breakfast eat at the l...

We stayed here for three nights in an upgraded room which was fantastic. The hotel staff were very helpful and polite. The continental breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Set in a quiet area, but near enought to the Metro. There are plenty of restaurants nearby to eat in the evening - Flavio's within 50m walk and Taverna Barberini's- 10mins away. Barberini's was best value and a great atmosphere. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: we stayed in room 104 - large room with a huge bathroom and overlooking the authentic deli across th...
