Stayed here for three nights before our cruise by accident. We had booked another hotel and they sent us here because they had a problem with our room. It was a very pleasant surprise. The room was very small but clean and quiet. It was on busy Via Nationale with some shopping venues and restaurants nearby. The metro was just a couple of minutes walk away in Repubblica. There was a fruittoria around the corner. Service was courteous. Breakfast was OK with great coffee and a view of a church next door. Recommended.

Stayed here as a couple for 3 nights wanting somewhere within walking distance of the main sights. We weren't sure what to expect having read mixed reviews on here. However, based on our stay our room was very clean, quiet and functional, and the staff were courteous and most helpful. Breakfast overlooking the city was an added bonus, but even from the rooftop you can't see many major landmarks, just the top of Il Vittoriano. The breakfast selection was fine, but I've yet to stay at a hotel abroad that serves British style bacon. Only a minor quibble but at least the pastries were lovely. The only other negatives during our stay were that setting up wi-fi wasn't straightforward (but we did get it with help from the concierge) and our the seals on our shower weren't great, so we had a few mini flood incidents. Again these were just small points and didn't significantly detract from what was a very pleasant stay. The Roman Holiday theme in reception stands out, with the scooter and numerous Hepburn pictures adorning the area, and made our stay that bit more memorable. If we come back to Rome then we would certainly consider staying here again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back facing the 'courtyard' area are very, very quiet.

We recently visited Rome for a four day trip and chose this property mainly as I have Le Club Platinum and had a load of loyalty points to spend.

I chose the cheapest room type, expecting as a platinum to be upgraded to something bigger. We were supposedly upgraded, the room had a small balcony, however it was still tiny. It was just about bearable for a few nights but we would have struggled for a week or so. In addition, the bathroom is only separated from the main bedroom by a glass partition - any nighttime toilet visits mean the entire room lights up.

On a positive note, the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The staff were all really helpful, and had an excellent grasp of English - shame on me for not trying harder with my Italian. Breakfast was the top floor (almost - there is a further roof terrace), and had great views over the city. Lots of choice and as others have mentioned, excellent coffee that is freely available.

So despite the issues about room size, it was a generally pleasant stay.

Give your staff a pat on the back as the front line staff service were fantastic...

But Accor, this is NOT a new hotel it is at least 5 years old since it was refurbished, bought etc.. So please change your advertising

Great location and very central and nice 10 min walk from the train terminal, a little tricky with bags on the cobbles though, $6 Euro taxi if you don't like walking.
Nice large room, with huge bed...!
Very quite hotel from the outside, new double glazed windows, but you heard everything from the hall way..!

But..
Maintenance, Maintenance, Maintenance... Or should I say lack of it.. Room (623)

TV did not work, well it turned on but screen was broken and remote was broken.
Shower was broken, only one shower head worked.
Door key did not work 9 out of 10 times.
Power activation key only worked 70% of the time.
One of the wall lights was basically hanging off the wall.
Toilet cistern kept falling off wall.
Air conditioning will only go as low as 21.
etc

Room Tip: If you want a shower make sure you ask for one, as many rooms have a bath ONLY..

Rooms were rather small, but that can be expected in major Italian tourist centers. The service from the Concierge was excellent and the the price vis a vis the location is good. The hotel is within walking distance to the Termini, the main train station and sights such as the Trajan's Column and a 10 Euro taxi ride to the Historic center. There are good views from the roof top restaurant.
