Thank you for all the tripadvisor reviews that recommended the Cellini in Rome. We had the best service in all of Italy. The owner and her assistants went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They gave us directions to sights with times and recomendations on where to eat. The place has only six rooms so it feels cozy (the other guests were friendly too) but the rooms, the decor and the wonderful breakfast were top of the line. You do get five star service at this three star hotel. "Peter" sets up your traditional Italian buffet breakfast with a great sense of pride. He sets out nothing but the best and the most fresh. Peter will not even grind the coffee beans that go into your espresso until he takes your order. We travelled for two weeks trying to find coffee as good as at the Cellini. He ruined our coffee drinking for us by setting the bar so high. If for nothing else stay for the coffee. The convinient location does not hurt either. Everything we wanted to see was local and the most we traveled was to St. Peters which was less than a 30 min. Metro ride. For New Years we just walked a block and around the corner to the Piazza and toasted 2005 with all the rest of the Italians popping spumanti & their fireworks out in the streets. We had a blast in Rome. It is a fun fast city with lots to see and do. Words cannot explain how pleased we were with our stay at the Cellini. Miss Barbara and her staff were the best hosts and I thank them for creating an oasis for us in such a bussy city.

A very special place! My fiancee (now my wife) stayed here for a few days just prior to our marriage in Ravello in September and the staff at the hotel could not have been more wonderful. Barbara, who owns the hotel with her brother, and Peter, the nightshift guy were fantastic. When Barbara and her brother found out we were getting married, they gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne and snacks. There was nothing they wouldn't do to help us. We liked it so much we returned for the last night of our honeymoon. The Residenza Cellini is a clean, comfortable, classy hotel, but what makes it really special for us is our memories of the owners and staff. The next time we go to Rome, we will definitely stay there.

We spent three wonderful nights at the Residenza Cellini. The rooms are impeccably clean and the bathrooms sparkle. I cannot praise the Cellini family and their staff enough - they were so friendly and helpful. They provided us with information on bus lines, made reservations for the museums, recommended delicious restaurants and overall made our stay a wonderful experience. Almost every afternooon, they provided us with tea and pastries at no charge and answered our every question. The hotel is in a fabulous location. The Vatican was the only place for which we needed to take transportation and the bus stop is right around the corner. Once again, the Cellini's provided us with all the information on which bus line to take and where to get tickets. They also arranged for our transportation to the airport. We had a room that faced the street and did not notice any street noise whatsoever. In fact, this hotel provided us with some of our best nights sleep the entire trip.

Barbara and Donato should be very proud of their hotel!
We extend our heartfelt thanks to them and their staff for their hospitality. (We did not have the pleasure of meeting their brother, but are certain he would have done the same) We highly recommend this hotel while in Rome and will stay there again upon our return.

We just returned from two weeks in Italy, ending with a delightful stay at Residenza Cellini. The staff was more than accommodating, professional, warm and friendly. The accommodations ranked right up there as one of the best of the 4-star hotels we stayed at: safe, quiet, very clean, with an excellent breakfast to start a busy day. Residenza Cellini's location provided for easy access to both the Metro and Termini, therefore, all areas of Rome, in addition to being surrounded by great restaurants. We will certainly return. Thank you to Rick Steves for recommending Residenza Cellini.

We loved the Cellini and would recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. While the standard of the accomodation is very high (the hotel was sompletely renovated 2 years ago) and the location is ideal, the best part of the Cellini are the people who work there - we had the warmest friendliest and most helpful service from everyone we have ever had - anywhere! Book well in advance to stay as long as you can - because there are only 6 rooms, it might not be possible to stay in Cellini for all your stay - and our only tiny quibble is that the hotel Cellini booked for our last night when they couldn't accomodate us was the nearby Hotel Paris which was pretty basic and boring. But the Cellini itself is a small and perfect gem :-)

I just returned from a 15 night tour of Rome-Florence-Venice-Bolzano-Milan. We arrived in Rome on Tuesday 10/26 and were whisked away from the airport by a very snappy young Italian named Francesco to the Residenza Cellini hotel. Located just off of Via Nazionale about a ten minute walk Southwest from Termini train station, this beautifully appointed space was a treasure. The staff were all exceptionally friendly, the rooms are beautiful, the beds were definitely the best of any we slept in during our trip. With a Rick Steve's discount the room (a junior suite - #3) came to 185 euros a night. Breakfast was included and was also the best we had while in Italy. The lovely older gentleman, Pietro, who normally worked the front desk in the morning was always there with a fresh cup of espresso or cappucino and a warm smile.
This place was a delight and I would gladly return in a heartbeat. It is also extremely well located. We were able to walk to just about everywhere in the city we wanted to go. The only place we ended up taking the subway to was the Vatican on the west side of town. Beware of pickpockets in the subways!

A wonderful find! Just 6 rooms, great location within comfortable walking distance of many of the historic sites. Area itself is just off a busy shopping and restaurant area and just 2 minutes from Plaza Republica metro station...yet our room (number 5) was absolutely quiet without any traffic or other noise. The room was modern, well furnished...jaccuzzi bath, CNN & BBC World, mini bar, as well as other touches that you might expect (but not always find) in a much more expensive hotel. Breakfast was delightful with good choice and great coffee. Smiling staff were eager to please and happy to make restaurant and travel suggestions. Unless you want a big hotel lounge, hotel bar and restaurant (which they do not have) it is difficult to see how anyone could possibly find fault with such a delightful place. We stayed 3 nights and would heartily recommend Cellini. Great value compared with usual expensive and often disappointing Rome hotels but this is no budget hotel.....way way above with a quality that is obvious from the moment you arrive.
