Excellent accomodation, great way to end our Italy vacation and definitely a place we would return to and stay again. So much more intimate than hotels with the staff going above and beyond in every aspect to ensure your stay is wonderful. Comfy beds, tasty breakfast and the quaint lift and terrace make this a must stay when in Rome.

Your choice of accommodation can make or break your experience in a city, and Residenza Cellini ADDED to our enjoyment of Rome, particularly due to the owners and staff!!!

We took advantage of the car service from the airport. For a flat rate, we were met at the airport and taken to the hotel. We were there for 7 nights, plus 1 night returning from Venice for our flight back to the States. (We were allowed to leave some baggage at the hotel while we went to Venice.) We stayed in a junior double suite -- good size room with a sitting area, lots of light, high ceiling, tastefully decorated, lovely French balcony with flowers, immaculately clean, with a bowl of addictive cookies and candy. (I would highly recommend staying in a suite, as they have a beautiful, good size bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub -- we rarely use the one we have at home, but after a full day of walking the cobblestone streets of Rome, the jacuzzi was a miraculous revitalizer!)

The breakfast was plentiful, with meats, cheeses, rolls, pastries, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, and choices of juices, teas, or coffee. They even provided DECAF cappucino. Definitely enough to give you a good start to the day.

Residenza Cellini is ideally located, steps from a metro stop, a few more steps to the train station where you can catch all the buses or catch trains to other places for day trips or whatever. Most of the must see places are within walking distance. For those that are further out, we found the metro very easy to use, and because the hotel is so close to the train station, using either metro line is convenient.

HOWEVER, what makes Residenza Cellini so special are the owners and the staff. At the desk, Robert and Margiry are so friendly and very, very helpful. They suggested places to eat (all of which we loved), made reservations and ticket arrangements, and even printed out our boarding passes for our return flight. We had a chance to meet 2 of the owners, Barbara and Donato, who were so gracious and made us feel very, very welcome. They generously provided a lovely bottle of wine to help celebrate our anniversary, but they also surprised us in several ways, which made us feel very special. It was a very personalized service. (As I look back on many other reviews here, I can see they seem to make everyone feel special -- I think that says a lot about them!!)

We were so comfortable at Residenza Cellini, we referred to it as "home", not "back to the hotel". We had an amazing experience and wish we could return soon. We would highly recommend staying at Residenza Cellini -- you won't regret it.

Room Tip: Staying on the 3rd floor may be more convenient, as that is where the breakfast room is, and where y...

The service at this hotel was great from the moment we arrived. We have never been made to feel so welcome at ANY other hotel. Barbara and her team clearly know how to make you very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The roof top terrace was a lovely area to relax with wine before heading out to dinner. Our room (Junior suite) exceeded our expectations. The lift was amazing stratight out of aJames Bond movie and a real historic gem. The breakfast room was snug however the food was delicious and the service exceptional. Great location close to the main line station and within walking distance to all major attractions. The whole place was delightfully decorated and clean with lots of little extras. Many thanks to all the staff for looking after us.

My husband and I, together with our little son, stayed at Residenza Cellini for a week. We come often to Rome and we had the chance to stay in different hotels in the city. The service was incredible, the staff was extremely nice and helpful in solving any type of issue at any hour of day or night. They were expecting for us when we came and gave us a detailed explanation of the rooms and its amenities.
he rooms are nice, clean and there is a beautiful natural light coming in.
The bath tub is big with a new jacuzzi.
The location is perfect- it's very central, few minutes by taxi to Piazza Venezia or Piazza di Spagna, walking distance to Villa Barberini.
It is a strategic location for business people and tourists who wish to visit other cities ( walking distance to the train station ). The owners of the hotel went out of their way to accomodate our needs. We had a memorable vacation and an amazing experience at Cellini. We will certainly come back.

We recently stayed at this charming small hotel which is in a wonderful location, within walking distance of many sights and the train terminal. The door is somewhat difficult to find the first time and the property shares the building with tenants and other small hotels. Our room was small but clean and lovely just the same. There was a beautiful veranda on the 5th floor that became our "garden", where we met and visited with other guests and shared bottles of Tuscan wines and prosecco. We received a very nice bottle of chianti to welcome us and to celebrate this anniversary trip. The owner and her staff were wonderful - so helpful and kind in every way - they made us feel very special. We only had a couple of small negatives - one was the shower size - probably the smallest shower we've ever used! (For large people it might not work) And for whatever reason our wi-fi would not work on the 5th floor so we had to take our laptops down to the 3rd floor when we wanted/needed to use them. We never could find out the issue but - very small inconvenience. The staff helped us with taxis, hotel reservations, etc. - going above and beyond what we expected. If/when we come back to Rome, we would definitely stay there and upgrade to a larger room! Another nice feature was that they gave a 10% discount for cash payment

Room Tip: Spend extra for an upgraded, larger room.

After reading the good reviews, I decided to book and spent four nights recently at the hotel along with my family. It's not the usual hotel, being inside a building and occupying part of the 3rd and 4th floors, but the experience was really positive. Arrived quite late to Rome and I made arrangements for a car to pick us up. The driver was waiting us on time, and made it to the hotel quite quickly. They were expecting us and quickly showed us our room. I requested a room for three but they actually gave us one with 4 nice beds (2 queen size, 2 individuals) and for the same price. The room is large and convenient, with an old looking style but all furniture was new and in good condition. The ceilings are really high which makes it to look even bigger. The beds are comfortable and with nice pillows. The bathroom is fantastic: large, new, with a jacuzzi and well illuminated. One of the things I was afraid of is for the room to be noisy being in what it looked like a renovated all house, but we couldn't hear nothing from the other rooms. The street is quite too, so we didn't find no problem with that at all. The breakfast is included in the price of the room and it was just OK. The pastries were too rich, there were not hot plates and the breakfast room is quite small (only four small tables), so it might get crowded in the morning. The location is superb, right next to the subway (direct line to the Vatican) and 10 minute walking distance to the Piazza Venecia and the forums. In all, very pleasant, they make you feel at home and good value for the price considering the average hotel rooms in Rome.
