“Way beyond expectations!”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

My husband, son, and I recently stayed at Residenza Cellini. I have not one bad word to say about this property or the service we received. We stayed for 2 nights before we joined an escorted tour of Italy and 1 night after the tour returned to Rome.
We had Jr. Suite room # 3 both times. The room was spacious with a king bed and two twin beds as well as a spacious bath with wonderful amenities. The towel warmers were such a welcome addition. They worked! They really made a difference. The weather was cool and rainy while we were there. The breakfast was adequate and well made. Pastries, breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, fruits, juices, fabulous coffee made to order.

The location is just about perfect. In walking distance of good restaurants, shops, sites,

Barbara the owner, found out that my husbands birthday was the day before we arrived and gave us proseco and dessert cookies up on the 5th floor terrace. We had too many pieces of luggage for the tour bus so we were allowed to leave 1 piece in storage for no extra fee until we returned the next week.
Robert, Marjiry, Jerry, and Vincent were the reason that our stay was so perfect. They raise the bar for outstanding customer service! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly!

A friend and I stayed at this lovely hotel for six nights. The staff (and owners) are exceptionally professional and gracious. The room was lovely, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast room was also very nice and the breakfast fare was ample. I enjoyed my visit so much that I have already referred Cellini to three friends who are traveling to Rome during the summer and fall. Excellent choice for anyone visiting Rome.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in room 504 (5th floor) with courtyard view. It was so quiet, clean and spacious with lovely furnishings. All staff were exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was more than enough with wide choice of sweet and savoury. We loved the coffee. Central heating was great and towel warmers helped dry our washing overnight. Would stay here again

Room Tip: 5th floor facing courtyard very quiet. Can open balcony doors and toilet windows. King size beds so...

This hotel is on 2 floors of an apartment building but is very nice. We had 2 large rooms, both rooms were nicely furnished and comfortable with very clean bathrooms. They faced an inner courtyard and were very quiet. The breakfast had a nice assortment of fruits and pastries and staff was great in offering a choice of hot beverages. This is a nice small hotel and after 6 days we felt more like house guests as we got to know the very friendly and helpful staff and owner. They also arranged for a taxi to pick us up and take us back to the airport. There is also a nice terrace to relax in - we had a bottle of champagne and pastries there one night. The location is very close to a subway station and the Termini train station is a short walk away. We walked everywhere from the hotel and found it an ideal location, away from the noisy Via Nazionale but around the corner on a quiet street. Would love to stay here again! (Michigan)

We recently visited Rome and stayed in the hotel for 4 nights, the experience was fantastic, the rooms are clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast reasonable. I would recommend it.
There is however one item they fall short on - it is the internet connectivity. The Wi-fi service is slow, breaks often and appears to be overloaded if more that 2 users access at once.
Hotel operators should realise that good internet connectivity service is essential in this day and age (similar to a bathroom) and they will be measured on the quality of it.

Overall a good experience, we will return

Lucky for us if you read the Bad review for Crowne Plaza Rome, that I manged to turn up after talking with Margi on the phone-who speaks very good english,Italian and other languages and get a juinor suite for 2.
Im not sure if it even has a hotel rating being a Residenza, but they definetely have 5 star service and room features. They have a great location right in the middle of town but not noisy, easy walking distances to many of romes great restaurants and attractions, churches, monuments etc.Big thanks again to Margi for all your help during our stay, even managing to book me a car when I couldnt through 6 rental places, To Roberto who was soo funny, and giving us great places to eat and generally making sure we had a fantastic time, all the staff where great. This is one very well boutique hotel. The Breakfasts are very fresh and just what you need each day.

Room Tip: get a suite with the jacuzzi

Wonderful place to stay! The junior suite was large, comfortable, clean, and light and airy. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We arrived in the morning knowing that it was too early for check in and planning on just leaving our luggage but the staff hurried to get our room ready while the owner went over sites to see in Rome and how to get there. On our last day the hotel held our luggage until 5:00 in the evening while we finished site seeing. When we returned to the hotel and were waiting for transportation, the owner opened up the terrace to us and served us complimentary wine and crackers while we waited. Exceptional experience!! Would highly recommend staying here.
