The hotel is initially hard to find but your efforts will be rewarded. Reception is on the third floor and the old elevator is straight out of a Hollywood movie set. The staff is fantastic and will give great advice on everything from resturants to how to get around Rome. There is a fifth floor balcony which in warm weather is a perfectplace to enjoy an afternoon drink or a morning coffee. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. There is a discount for paying in cash.
When I return to Rome I will retrun to the Residenza Cellini and I recommend it to others.

My husband and I along with another couple spent two nights here. It was a wonderful experience, just what we were looking for. We wanted a place with charm and local flavor that would give us a true taste of Italy and Rome. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the rooms were spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was perfect. We were surprised that other hotels occupied the building, but that was not a problem. They all shared a quaint elevator just like the movies picture. That all added to the experience and flavor of Rome!

This was my third stay in this lovely hotel, and I was not disappointed. The hotel is located on a quiet side street near the Metro and within walking distance of many restaurants and attractions. Like many small Italian hotels, the outside is unimpressive, but the inside is attractive, warm and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed the continental breakfast each morning. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff of this hotel is outstanding. Ms. dePaolis does a fine job of selecting and training her staff, because they make you feel as if you are a guest in their home.

For our first stay in Rome after a long flight from Phoenix, we were delighted with our room and its balcony in the Republican Square area. Donato and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The location is also excellent. It is a short walk to the main train station and very close to the subway. The price was very reasonable.

Room Tip: Ask for a balconey room and ask for a Rick Steve's discount

Residenza Cellini is a pleasant small hotel located within a short walk of Rome's main railroad station, Termini. It's just steps away from the Metro and the Bus 64 (the pickpocket express) that will take you close to the Coliseum/Forum and, a little farther, to St. Peter's and Vatican City. It's a short walk to other very interesting sites. We took advantage of the hotel's discounts for three day booking and cash payment to get a very fair rate for a large and attractive " junior suite" with all the bells and whistles- a safe, a/c, small fridge, jacuzzi tub, complementary wi-fi, etc. The hotel has a pleasant deck area on the fifth floor. The hotel has a tiny elevator that worked just fine during our stay. They serve a nice European style breakfast in a small breakfast room, which they are hoping to expand. As other people have mentioned, the hotel prides itself on good service. The staff is very helpful in making dinner reservations and providing suggestions. The Residenza Cellini is our first choice for accommodations when visiting the " Eternal City".

Room Tip: The junior suites are very nice and worth the extra price.

This small but perfectly situated bed and breakfast was literally in the middle of everything. Being a block away from the Metro, it was a perfect way in getting to all the sites in Rome with the use of a daily train pass. Skip the buses - it is true what they say about these scurvy pickpockets. Our room was neat and clean and the staff was more than helpful with all of our needs. They had free computer services in their breakfast room and we were able to contact our family at home. They also had a really nice rooftop terrace to unwind at the end of each day of sightseeing. All in all it was a perfect experience and much better than any 4 or 5 star hotel that would probably not have had that personal touch that the Cellini had. I did everything online with making reservations to providing transfer trips from the airport to the Cellini and then two days later, to our cruise ship. Roberto (Cellini front desk) was extraordinary in making this all happen which made this a very pleasurable experience.

This hotel is on the 3rd floor. Every floor has a different hotel. A great room with a wonderful feel. All staff were very helpful. They assisted with printing tickets to attractions and had a good knowledge of Rome.
En-suite was small but very nicely finished and maintained.
Breakfast is what I expected after having read other reviews but also had phili cheese, yoghurts and a large bowl of fresh fruit.
