What a fantastic hotel! Its restaurant in the garden has to be one of the most romantic places in Rome. The room was fantastic, the lobby and decor was fantastic and the service overall was excellent. This is a must if you are coming to Rome! The front desk staff were so helpful with the internet, with sending things home and generally just being really accommodating and friendly.

Room Tip: Get one with a view over the courtyard/restaurant. Our suite was fantastic in every way. The bathr...

We stayed at the De Russie for only two nights and had a fabulous stay. The location was the main highlight, as it is just a few steps to Piazza del Popolo and a very short walk to Villa Borghese, not to mention all of the shops and sightseeing. Three days were not nearly enough, but we at least had enough time to roam around the city on foot.

Needless to say, the hotel was beautiful and decorated in a very elegant, traditional Italian style. The garden courtyard was a welcomed sanctuary after spending a busy day out and about. The food was also excellent, although pricey. However, you get what you pay for, so no complaints here.

Great stay and can definitely recommend.

We've just spent two nights at the Russie for my husband's 50 th birthday. The whole stay was fantastic. The staff were very helpful but not intrusive, nothing was too much trouble. The concierge even got us two omnia cards . They have created a very special yet relaxed place to stay. The rooms are gorgeous and the bar/ restaurant are so beautiful. We had dinner in the garden and it was very special. My husband had birthday cakes given to him by the staff both in our room and at dinner. They really spoiled us and I can't recommend the Russie highly enough. The perfect place for a special trip.

We stayed at the DeRussie in July. We were two couples and our reservations got messed up resulting in having to move across the street for one evening then coming back to the DeRussie. It did not matter because the service at the DeRussie may be the best in the world. The hotel packed us up and moved us back and forth. The concierges were not just good they were great, the best I have ever met. They were smart practical and gave great recommendations for everything. A perfect example woud be that my younger brother and his wife were meeting us in Rome I did not have his flight info and when he was not at the hotel I was concerned, the concierge was able to figure out what flight he took and let me know that the flight was very delayed. When we moved back in we were upgraded to gorgeous suites. The breakfast was great and the court yard is a site to behold. A great peaceful respite in the middle of this busy magnificent city. This hotel is expensive but if you've got the dough this is the place to stay in Roma.

Had a birthday dinner there and really enjoyed it. Great surroundings and a beautiful hotel - great food as well and would definitely recommend it for a special occasion. We didn't stay there overnight but I'm sure it would be an experience.
