The charm of Rome is wandering the narrow streets finding hidden gems. The hotel Trevi is found in one such street just around the corner from the ever popular fountain. A traditional hotel slotted in to the buildings I suspect all the rooms will be slightly different. Ours was fine, not huge but large enough to sleep and wash which is all required when wanting to be out exploring. The breakfast was excellent and available until a very reasonable 10:30. Friendly staff and we would definitely stay again. Ideal location

Room Tip: Don't expect a great view. It is down narrow streets so the view will be the building opposite.

Overbooked our rooms, and sent numerous guests to a rat hole hotel clear across town. And then had us return a day later and rooms still not ready. Wasted significant time moving hotels, without any concern by hotel staff or management. Be prepared for substandard accommodations and theft from your safe while staying at this hotel. Stay far away from this hotel. Much better options in the area.

Overall the hotel was good. Just 20 steps from our room to the Beautiful Trevi Fountain! The room was clean and the breakfast was adequate- nicely located on the roof of the main building. We actually walked to the Coliseum one day and Vatican City another day. Our only issue was that there was a leak with the air conditioning unit. They fixed the leak quickly, but the carpet was soaked and foul smelling by the time we left. Hopefully this is resolved for future users of the "Picasso Suite". However, the staff were friendly and helpful, and we very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Trevi.

I read some of these comments before I went... Do you go to Rome to spend time inside the hotel room?? I don't!! This is a perfectly placed hotel to explore everything Rome has to offer. There is a mass of places to eat within 5 mins walking distance and although you are right by the Trevi Fountain, the hotel room was remarkably quiet. We had a superior room which was lovely, very reasonably priced mini bar and also room to put your own drinks in there too. Breakfast was varied and there was plenty of fresh fruit and pastries as well as breads, meats and cheeses. Also found the Hotel reception staff to be more than helpful, when we checked in we were advised where to see, and also places that were more off the beaten track and not in the Top 10 obvious places. The other excellent advice we received was where not to go in the city, especially after dark!! All in all was very very impressed and would definitely recommend to other travellers.

I was on holiday and really loved the hotel and the location but my room was a bit of a disappointment- the website promoted it as overlooking the fountain whereas I was up a side street- this was not a major problem although I did book on the premise that I could see the fountain from my room but the room 103 had no outside light/window except a heavily curtained window within the building which was quite clastrophobic
