“Fab bar/eatery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013 via mobile

There are two Enoteca at Barberini, one at Piazza and then the one with the live music just down from Pepys bar. Same people own all three. We ate at the one at the.piazza, no complaints , glass of prosecco on arrival , lovely fresh pasta and friendly staff. Like first review, after asking for house wine,.tried to sell on with a.bottle that cost 28 euro, just a polite no, and we were left alone. The second bar is fab and same menu so.go there if you like live guitar music .

“Great last night out in Rome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

As you do every night in Rome, leave the hotel around 8:30ish and start the evening off with a leisurely stroll, maybe hit a few local bars to stimulate the appetite before eating dinner. Well, down the street and around the corner from the hotel was this place. Out front was the manager inviting us in with a winter roman specialty, warm spiced red wine. Went in and sat at the bar, there was a live jazz band playing and a pretty good crowd for a Thursday night. Enjoyed great banter with the bartender and all the workers, they all had a great sense of humor, and before I knew it, it was closing time. As far as the food goes, I chose the mussels, which were fresh and sweet, and had crustinni on the bottom to soak up all the juice. For dessert, panna cota, a true Italian delight. All in all, a great meal in a lively atmosphere, I'm glad that I stopped in, and will make this the first night out the next time in Rome.

“Very good food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

We had a very enjoyable lunch at the Enoteca Barberini. Starting with bruchetta and a mixed salad, we then had a margerita pizza and eggplant parmesan for our meals, and then finished with the tiramisu. Everything was great, the portions were large, and the price was very reasonable. With friendly service and a great location, I highly recommend this restaurant.

“Traditional italian cuisine, friendly staff, brilliant atmosphere, modern, fantastic live band”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2013

Amazing live band was playing when we went, was a really lovely atmosphere and the staff got you clapping to join in with the band, were so friendly though.

The food was lovely homemadee minestrone soup and delicious pasta, wish we had more time to go back again!

Think it was about 40 euro, so not a bad price for 2 mains, a soup and 2 bruschettas and drinks!

“Good food but not as at Enoteca 2”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2013

The night we choose to go there, they had live jazz music which we loved to enjoy. The man at the door said that they have free tables and when we enter, they wanted to escort us at the basembent level of the restaurant, which we did not like. So we left but decide to go back after a wonderful meal we had at Enoteca 2 for a change. The food was very good and the service ok. I didn;t like the fact that they served us caffe at the end, which we said it wasn't for us but the server said it was. We thought that maybe they wanted to offer them but at the end they charge them. We explain that to our original server, he said that it was a mistake and his colleuge shouldn't insist that it was for us and that yes, we had to pay them since we drink them. I do not mind paying the extra 5 Euro but if I were at his possition I would say that it was ok not to pay,
