This B&B is located 15 minutes from Termini by subway and just a few meters from the Baldo degli Ubaldi station. Despite being a mostly residential area, there are some useful commerce nearby: drugstore, supermarket, ristorante, osteria, gelateria, pizzeria all within walking distance.
The reception was great. Andrea, the owner, met us there and explained everything to us about breakfast, the neighbourhood etc. He spoke good english, just heavy accented. Andrea was very nice, he was always available by phone or e-mail to give tips and answer questions.
Ale&Andrea is an apartment divided into 3 rooms a main hall and a small kitchen. We stayed in the Yellow Room (Stanza Galla), probably the biggest B&B room we'd stayed during that trip. The room was quiet and the bed was very good, didn't have any trouble sleeping. This room is not a suite, the restroom is in the apartment's main hall but it's still private and it was kept very clean. The other 2 rooms have its own restroom. You may use the kitchen for just about anything and there is also a laundry machine.
Breakfast was good, but I must confess I don't need much to start my day, just fresh fruits, juice, bread and some kind of dairy. And all of that was available.
The only disadvantage of staying at Ale&Andrea is that you'll rely heavily on the subway and public buses to arrive at the main sights. While a good thing at first, these services are slightly prone to strikes. And if that happens, one's only resort will be the taxi drivers.
Overall a pleasant stay for the price and I definitely would stay there again.
