“Shabby but comfortable Sheraton in the park area”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

A very ambitious hotel (at least in the past) on the outskirts of Rome, however, the age of the whole facility is quite visible. Large, bright rooms. The room has almost everything you need - a safe, mini-bar, air conditioning, shower ameninties. However, there is no kettle in the hotel as it was "illegal for use" (corresponding sticker is put on the door and the sign on the working desk). Superior room offers a spacious bathroom, shower stall in addition there is also a bath tub.
The hall for breakfast - a light, cozy, looks like the atmospheric restaurant! Catering for breakfast is also of a good quality.
Connection to the city is arranged by a special shuttle bus managed by a third party company. Runs at certain times and for 5 euro per person take you directly to the centre (Capitol Hill). Returning back to the hotel is included in the trip price.

I had a very great moment staying in this hotel recently. Check in staff were nice and helpful, room size was average altough some furniture torn and left scars in the drawer. However the overall of staying a night esperience was undissapointed at all. Price n quality sleeping are worthed

Room Tip: Rooms at third floor are the best especially for seeking quite n total rest

The staff is extremely helpful. The breakfast staff was really on top of everything. The front staff and van drivers were all well versed and knowledgable. The evening restraurant staff was helpful but did not know what they were doing. We ordered our dinners which were suppose to come with side dishes - it stated on the menu the side dish - but we never recieved them. We asked twice and showed them on the menu, finally got two of them. Don't recommend eating there. Rooms were very clean. Shower doors need to be reengineered, floor got very wet. Shuttle service was really easy to get to center of Rome. We would stay there again.

This was a great hotel to stay in. We stayed there for one night after a tour ended as it was close to the airport. Would not advise staying there to get into Rome as it is too far out. Facilities were fantastic, the room was great but poor view over a drain. The breakfast was good and they have excellent hot chocolate. Staff were helpful and when we went to the other section of the hotwl to go to the pool they offered a shuttle bus. The hotel has 3 sections. The wi Fi was free. Great for a stopover between flights for overnight stay.

We stayed at the Sheraton Golf Parco in May while on a business trip, the rooms were adaquate but rather small, and, as some of the other reviewers note, the hotel is a long way from the City. Staff were generally very helpful and friendly with one exception. The hotel seems to cover a large area with 3 entrances, we had colleagues in various locations and although we were assured that a shuttle bus to the other locations would appear a short while after asking this never materialised, we gave up waiting at 10 pm one evening which meant a planned meeting with colleagues didn't happen. One member of staff became quite cross when we chased for the shuttle bus on a couple of occasions. Food was fine and the gym is well equipped (and unused) the days we were there. My recommendation would be to look elswhere first.

We stayed at the Sheraton the night before our flight home. The room was fine (and we were upgraded), lovely bathroom, pretty pool area with jasmine covered seating for drinks, excellent breakfast buffet. But we paid 30 euros extra for the "Sheraton High Speed" rate, which was to come with "daily breakfast and free High Speed Internet Access." When I asked how to get the free access, the service person on the phone said there was no free access, and hung up on me. When we went to the desk, they said access was free only if you had a computer that accepted an ethernet cable, otherwise you paid 18 euros. Our ipad and laptop need wifi connections, not cable; every other hotel we stayed at in Italy supplied free wifi. Also, though this hotel is in a suburban industrial area, they charged us 14 euros for overnight parking. And a dreary dinner of two low-quality sandwiches, two beers and one glass of wine cost 57 euros, much, much more than we paid for wonderful real food elsewhere. Management seemed overburdened and understaffed, and there was no information about the hotel in the room. The hotel was OK, but the internet deal was truly misleading (yes, when I looked, I saw that the reservation confirmation included the word "cabled internet" in very small letters, but the hotel site where I made the reservation did not say or stress this limitation, and the clear impression was that you would get free internet that would work with current equipment).

Room Tip: This hotel has three buildings far apart from each other. We were in building #1, and out "upgr...

We experienced two main problems with this hotel:

1) mosquitoes buzzing in our ears all night. Unacceptable. Seems like the hotel is built upon a mosquito-infested swamp. There were tons outside our window and at least five we killed inside our room but alas we still got bites throughout the night

2) the hotel offers a shuttle to the airport. We woke up early to take the shuttle and were informed it had been cancelled for no apparent reason. The hotel was unwilling to compensate us for the increased cost we had to incur.

Beyond that the beds are scratchy and uncomfortable and our room only had one towel. The restaurant is disappointing and over-priced. Go elsewhere.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We are devastated to learn that we have missed our opportunity to impress you whilst we had the chance to do so. With reference to your comments about the mosquitoes, our property is surrounded by 85 hectares of green park land and despite monthly scheduled disinfestations it is possible to find insects. Regarding your comments about the shuttle bus, please contact us at info@sheratongolf.it so that we may discuss this matter further. We hope to be able to welcome you back again so that we may be given another chance to make you change your opinion.
