We spent 5 days in this hotel late august / early september 2010, travelling with three children (one of the children stayed in another room with his grandmother). I am not easilly impressed when it comes to hotels, but this little gem won me and the whole family over. We had a double room, probably the largest room type they have, and it was clean, spacious, cosy, in excellent condition, nice bath with hot tub,and everything just worked perfectly. The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke decent English. The hotel is situated on a quiet street a couple of kilometers north of Piazza del Popolo in a very nice neighborhood. The first of september all of the local shops and restaurants suddenly opened after the holidays, and you can find everything you need in the immediate surroundings, with delicatessies, coffe bars, Gelaterias, pharmacy, etc. You won't find many tourists in the neighborhood (luckily), but you still had to be out early (the restaurants open at 7:30 pm) in order to get a decent table in the restaurants (just across the street), the Romans go out to eat! Very nice food and atmosphere.
We took the trolley to Piazza del Popolo every day, works perfect, cost 1 euro, and just a two minute walk from the hotel.
If we ever go back to Rome, this is definetely the hotel we will stay in!More
