My fiancé and I stood at the Hotel Selene for six days during Christmas in 2013. It is located on a nice street close to Termini Station, from where you could walk to get to the hotel, even carrying suitcases. The staff were always very polite and helpful. We had a double room, which was very large, and the bed was big too. The tv was small, but we almost didn't have time to watch it. The bathroom was good too, the only thing that bothered us was that during the shower, the water wold turn cold for no reason for ten seconds, every minute or so, so it wasn't a very relaxing shower. N the first night we were a bit cold, maybe because the heater wasn't working properly, but the other nights the temperature in the room was alright. The wifi worked very well inside the room.
Despite the fact that our window faced the street, it was very quiet at night and in the morning we only had a bit of a problem with noise coming from the breakfast room, since it was close to it.
The breakfast was very good, with a variety of breads, croissants, cakes, some fruits and cereals, juices and yogurt.
From there, you could easily walk to Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi, Via Condotti, the Coliseum, and get the subway at the Republica station to the Vatican museum.
We liked very much our experience and will definitely stay there if we go to Rome again.
