“We'd do it again tomorrow”
Reviewed October 28, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Our family of seven, including our two young grandsons, just returned for a week-long stay at the Nobleman's Loft, and we'd do it again tomorrow if we could. The Loft is inviting, spacious and airy, and has all the creature comforts a family needs -- excellent kitchen, washer/dryer, air-conditioning, big-screen TV, a balcony off the kitchen and a terrace upstairs big enough for a family meal or drinks at sunset. Elizabeth, the owner's sister, was attentive, sending staff promptly to take care of a minor lighting issue and arranging for a wonderful English-speaking babysitter. We also found the Trastevere location convenient to all the major sights, from the Vatican to the Forum. Our grandkids, age 10 and 5, especially enjoyed nearby Castel Sant'Angelo, imagining themselves shooting arrows at the bad guys attacking the Vatican. We had a great time and celebrated our last night together around the big dinning room table enjoying the food we bought at the nearby markets. What more can you ask?

“We'll never forget our stay at Maxi Renella in Trastevere!”
Reviewed September 22, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

My husband and I, and our 3 adult children (age 26, 30 & 33), loved Maxi Renella and the Trastevere neighborhood.

The apartment is very charming with exposed beams, high ceilings, large windows and cotta floors. The bedrooms have good mattresses and 2 of the bathrooms were American in size (not the norm in Italy). The terraces are an added bonus, and the larger one was perfect for several of us to have breakfast or a little appetizer before going out. The kitchen was fully equipped with modern conveniences and the large living /dining area were a perfect size for all of us to gather after a long day of sightseeing. The adjacent apartment (Mini Renella) worked out well for our 30 year old who wanted more privacy and loves to sleep late.

Everyone in our family enjoyed the eclectic neighborhood of Trastevere which came alive at night. There were numerous bars, bistros, cafes and restaurants to choose from, all very close to the apartment. The street vendors added to the atmosphere. If we wanted to venture out of the neighborhood for a change of scenery, it was so easy to walk over the pedestrian bridge, crossing the Tiber River, to Campo De Fiori and Piazza Navona.

And lastly, Martin and Elizabeth Picard were wonderful in answering our many questions before and during our stay, acting as travel agent and personal concierge at times. We used their recommended driver service several times, as well as their Vatican Guide, Pina, who was absolutely wonderful.

Each of us will always cherish the fond memories of our 10 day stay at 95 Renella!

“This apartment is the perfect place to stay in Rome!”
Reviewed July 30, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Spacious and beautiful, the apartment was a wonderful home base for us. It's walking distance to anything you want to do, everything was exactly as described on the website, and the landlord/host and team was tremendously helpful with every detail and happy to answer any questions. We had 3 teenagers with us, and even they, who are usually impressed by nothing, thought this place was great. They were especially happy with the internet service, so they could keep their friends back home updated with pictures. And we were all very happy that the place is air-conditioned, since it was very, very hot during our July visit. I would highly recommend this place for your visit to Rome.

Liked best: Location, spacious & modern, air-conditioning and wifi worked well.
Liked least: We also rented Mini-Renella, the apartment next door. The size and condition of that apartment isn't as nice as the Loft. But in combination with the loft, it was great to have enough bedrooms for all of us.

“Fabulous location and great customer service”

We only had three days in Rome and thankfully, we chose the right place and the right people to make our trip very memorable. Michael and Elizabeth Picard along with Kate Degraw were amazing hosts. They arranged a car to collect our family of seven at Rome airport and take us to the loft. Everything went like clockwork. The Mega Loft was located in the lovely neighborhood of Trastavere. The accomodations were just as described except for the stairs. There were quite a few to walk from the street level to the loft. We were all in pretty good shape though, so we were able to get a lot of exercise. Our first night there, we were walking out of the apartment hoping to find a restaurant, when a group of people excitedly told us that Pope Francis was just down the street conducting a mass for the poor at Santa Maria Trastavere church. We followed the crowd and they were right! What a thrill! Since our time in Rome was so limited, the Picards arranged two tours for us complete with an amazing tour guide, Pina, who took us to the Colosseum and the Vatican. Our twelve year old twin grandchildren were quite impressed as were we all. The loft itself was very comfortable for everyone and when asked if they would return, the answer was a resounding "Yes"! Before leaving, I must say that there were some really great restaurants to choose from just minutes from our apartment which made everything so easy. Thanks to our hosts for making our trip to Rome a memory of a lifetime!

We were 2 couples and one teenager. We loved it! There was plenty of room for all of us. The terrace was an added bonus, as the weather in February was really warm. The location was fantastic!! The tour of the coliseum arranged for us was SUPER! We all would highly recommend this place.

“Living the dream in the heart of Trastevere”

What a wonderful apartment from which to explore all of the Romes treasures. The apartment is superbly appointed and full of character. Although being in a lively and noisey district, the apartment is well insulated and relatively quiet. One of the benefits of staying in a many centuries old building. But the great pleasure of this apartment is the location. One street back from the the Tiber, all the major attractions are within walking distance. And finally the eating just outside your front door does not get any better. For pizza you can't go past la Renalla Forno, or for dinner Taverna Trilussa, both are within metres. We stayed here with our two sons aged 8 and 11. This place is top shelf and highly recommended.
