First of all....Location is absolutely perfect ! there is no need to look elsewhere, this hotel is literally 30 seconds from the Pantheon, 5 minutes from Trevi fountain and 10 minutes from the Spanish steps.

Secondly the staff were just brilliant, they would bend over backwards for you and although their English is limited they will always try their best to understand and help you.

Bedroom we had was very nice, bit dated but well maintained and very clean.

If I went back to Rome I would stay here in a heartbeat.

The only bit I wished was better was the breakfast, lots of cold food but only bacon and eggs if you wanted something hot.

However all the positives outweigh this tiny bit.

My wife and I decided to stay at Hotel Pantheon for our wedding/honeymoon in Rome this past August. The combination of the hotel staff, whom were extremely accomodating, and the hotel's location made our stay fantastic. The continental breakfast as well as the breakfast room were amazing and easily accessible. We walked the entire city for close to two weeks and we found that Hotel Pantheon was the perfect spot to set up shop. I would caution to venture as far away as possible from the Pantheon as possible if you are looking for good (non) tourist versions of Italian food, but the stay at the hotel itself was impeccable.

Room Tip: Hotel does not have a pool or fitness center that I recall but everything else was spotless.

Any review of the Hotel Pantheon must start with its location. It is only yards away from the Pantheon Square and the Pantheon itself. It is in the center of Rome and in walking distance of so many sites. It is the middle of an area where there are literally thirty or more restaurants. At night, the Pantheon square comes to life with singers, instrumentalists and other artists performing next to the Pantheon Fountain.

The Hotel Pantheon reminds one of a 19th Century Piazza. The lobby, although not large, is quite attractive with a large sitting area where newspapers are made available without cost.

The rooms are more than adquate. Most importantly, both the rooms and the room's bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. We could call them literally spotless. We found the rooms charming, although smaller than most American rooms with equivalent prices. This is typical in Europe.

We were worried about the noise level. Afterall, we were in Rome. Fortunately, our room was quiet in the sense that we did not hear outside noices during the evening hours.

The staff, especially Roberto, were friendly and knowledgeable.

When walking around the Pantheon area during the evening, you will be verbally accosted (in a friendly way) by employees of the various restaurants urging you to eat at their establishment (almost all of these restaurants have outdoor seating areas). This was sometimes annoying. Roberto, during our four nights at the Hotel Pantheon, gave us great restaurant recommednations. These were restaurants in the Pantheon area, but not the type where we felt the pressure from someone nudging at your elbow. Thank you Roberto for your help and recommendations.

We needed assistance with directions and taxis and the staff at the Hotel Pantheon could not have been more helpful with these matters.

The breakfast buffet, which was included in the room price, was fantastic. If you wanted eggs and bacon, the cook would make them for you. The selections were many and varied. We loved the coffee and hot chocolate.

In summary, this is a charming hotel with a helpful and friendly staff located in what we consider to be the best location in Rome for tourists.

Room Tip: if you are coming there by taxi, just ask the taxi driver to drop you off at the Pantheon square. T...

My partner and I have just stayed at the Hotel Pantheon for 3 nights and I have to say its a lovely little hotel. Lots of character and is only a few steps away from the Pantheon! Clean rooms and very friendly helpful staff. We were lucky to get an upgrade on our last night to the Diamante suite, which has 2 floors and 2 bathrooms! The only thing that let the room down was that it hadn't got many windows to look out of, (our other room looked out onto the street and was great for people watching) Overall this is a lovely old sweet hotel. We would stop there again. I would definitely recommend it.

You just can't beat the location of The Hotel Pantheon. Right in the centre of Rome with the spectacular backdrop of the Pantheon seconds away. Room spotless and tastefully decorated. AC great especially as temperature was hitting 38C. Continental breakfast adequate. Staff helpful when required. For a great atmosphere and a night of people watching be sure to grab a bite and a drink on the Campo de ' Fiori.

Location is in the center of everything. You can walk to everything. Hotel is clean. AC works just fine. Breakfast is good. Staff is totally helpful. They have a car service that picks you up at the airport. Price makes this a great value. Great shower. Plenty of pressure and hot water. I would go back. Biggest negative is that the WiFi only works in certain spots and your room may not be one of them. Room is somewhat small and dimly lit. No place to unpack. Need to live out of your luggage.

The hotel Pantheon is in an excellent location. The rooms vary in size, we were extremely lucky as we were upgraded to a suite for free. However our friends had quite a small room but was still quite nice and clean. The service was excellent, the receptionists being extremely helpfull.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Hotel Pantheon is located in an elegant eighteenth-century building in the heart of Rome, just a short walk from the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona, in peaceful surroundings, characteristic of an old pedestrian street. The interior of this small but luxurious Rome hotel is well-cared for down to the finest detail, embellished with special, unique details such as the Liberty-style staircase in wrought iron, the wooden-clad walls, the ceilings with old wooden beams, the Roman terracotta floors, the artistic windows and the trompe-l'oeils decorations on the hall walls. The breakfast room is a charming place, thanks to the light of the Carrara marble and the dome ceiling painted with sky-colored trompe-l'oeil. Intimate and friendly, the Hotel Pantheon offers a relaxing stay for its guests, also thinking of their well-being with their range of high quality, personalized services such as ticket booking for shows and exhibitions, guided tours of Rome and the surrounding area, suggestions on itineraries and places that must be seen and the plentiful hot or cold buffet breakfast. ... more   less
