Location of the hotel is very good. 10 minutes to walk to main attractions - Colosseo, fontana di trevi. Also many restaurants are very close to the hotel. Breakfast was also very good. Great cappuccino, lots of sweet pastries. Free wifi. I would go back.

This was our second stay at this hotel (2006 & 2013). We enjoyed both and look forward to the third. Motif is art deco, room & common areas were very clean, breakfast was varied with good food, location is great for sightseeing in Rome with easy access to Metro, trains, ATMs, and ancient Rome sights. Rates are consistent with comparable hotels at home, which for Rome is saying something. Good soundproofing between rooms. The old style elevator adds to the charm. Very good value.

Room Tip: Try to get a corner room, such as 213, 313, 413 etc. These abut only one other room. Keeping shutters closed at night reduces street noise. AC works fine.

Close to everything and a great free breakfast. Internet wasn't great but it was free too. Clean hotel with friendly staff. Lots of public areas to relax in. Bustling, noisy city but a great stay. We stayed on the first floor by the stairs and cool, old elevator so we heard lots of coming and going of guests.

Atlantico is perfect for travelers eager to explore Rome by foot, bus and train. It's two blocks from Termini Station, the intersection of many city bus lines and access to both of Rome's Metro lines.

The lobby is clean and spacious, and the front-desk staff always offers a kind greeting as you make your way to the old-school elevator. There is also a side lobby with couches and chairs. A reading room beside the front desk offers the day's newspapers and leads to a staircase and corridor where the connected Hotel Mediterraneo and breakfast room are located. Outside the hotel there are a number of cafes and restaurants on the surrounding streets.

Our room was fine as a home base for five days in the city. No complaints about the bed and bathroom. A small balcony overlooked the hustle and bustle on Via Cavour. Can't say anything about the TV as we never put it on. Overall the rooms (and the hotel itself) are perfectly suitable if you don't plan on spending too much time there. There isn't much more than the basic amenities -- bed, clean room, accommodating staff and a fairly sizable breakfast with plenty of options for all tastes. A ride to the top floor (on the Mediterraneo side) is worth it for the view from the rooftop bar/cafe.

We needed new Internet codes each day, which the desk staff was quick to provide. The room AC got us through a near 100-degree week in Rome, and the fact that I was even able to fall asleep given the heat says a lot about the AC. The only hassle during the stay was getting ice -- you need to go to the rooftop bar, and then you get about a drinking glass worth of cubes.

It's a 15-20 minute walk from the front door of the Atlantico to the Colosseum. Most points of interest around Rome are walkable, however, you can cut down on walking time by using the Metro (across from Termini) to get closer to your destination. You can also easily pick up a bus in the same spot for easy access to Trastevere and the Vatican.
