“Oasis in the middle of Rome”
Reviewed October 27, 2011

My husband and I stayed at Amaranto Romano while we were honeymooning in Rome.
Our host, Nadia, was warm, welcoming and gracious! She answered all our questions and gave us candid advice about restaurants, the city, including juicy tidbits about Roman culture!
The rooms are inside an inner courtyard, off the streets, so the rooms are beautiful, clean, quiet and peaceful. The bathroom all on it's own was stunning! In the lobby she offered snacks, tea etc. and free internet access! She also included breakfast that we got from a bar right on the corner. It is very close to all the historic areas, shopping and restaurants.
Definitely, an oasis in a bustling city!

My friend and I stayed for 4 nights in one of the lovely rooms of the Amaranto Romano apartment at the end of September. I must say, I have no complaints whatsoever about our stay! From our very warm, friendly, and gracious host, Nadia, to the thoughtful snacks offered (an assortment of fruits, yoghurt, cookies, biscuits, teas and coffee), to the very clean and comfortable room and beddings --- I totally loved staying here! It was such a joy to come home to our apartment after a long day of walking/sightseeing around Rome. The location was very convenient --- just a 10 minute walk from the Termini train station and a stone's throw away from Piazza Republica and the metro. Via Nazionale is a busy street but is lined with many quaint shops, restaurants, and beautiful buildings. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I spent 4 nights at this peaceful little guesthouse. The rooms were clean, modern and well appointed. The central location made walking to most iconic spots of Rome easy. Being set back off of the main road, the rooms were very quiet. Nadia, and her staff, were very helpful with tips on where to eat, how best to travel and what tourist traps to avoid. Her warmth and care made for a wonderful stay. Highly recommended and value for money in such a central location.

My wife and I recently began our honeymoon in Rome, where we stayed at Nadia's Amaranto Romano. The Amaranto Romano is a calm oasis in a fact-paced, aloof city, and Nadia's warm and inviting welcome was exactly what we needed after our travels. She was one of the kindest people we met in Rome, and seemed genuinely interested in personally ensuring we had a great visit. We were congratulated upon arrival with a bottle of cold prosecco, along with some crackers, cheese, and the most delicious grapes I've ever eaten. Nadia provided us with a map of the city, asked what our preferred activity was (which is eating!), and gave us suggestions in several neighborhoods for places we might like to check out - there's nothing better than a local's knowledge of the best eateries. One evening, Nadia heard we were going to Trastevere for dinner (a bit far) - she gave us tickets for the city bus and an open-top tour bus that she had lying around - saved us 40 Euros!

The location couldn't have been better - we were within walking distance of excellent shopping and eating, the train station, the metro, and all the historic areas. At the same time, our room was still quiet and peaceful, as well as impeccably clean, and the bathroom had a spectacular rain shower head. The free wi-fi, computer access, snacks and coffee were certainly a plus, in addition to the included breakfast at the bar on the corner!

Visit this place before it starts getting booked up months in advance - and it will!

This is just a wonderful, impeccably clean B&B! It is found in one of Rome's major roads and accessible to major sites and modes of transportation. Despite this, the rooms were always quiet and peaceful. The place was very, very secure and the beds were very, very comfortable! The rooms have high-speed wi-fi and there was also a computer in the lobby which can be used by guests. The snack corner was always full of fruits, biscuits, delicious yogurt and other treats. The breakfast in the cafe next door was great as well. It was really value for our money.

Nadia was simply perfect, promptly responding to all our queries, giving us travel advice, reserving our transportation, and printing some documents for us. She was more of a big sister than a host!

Will definitely stay here again in my next visit to Rome!

My girlfriend & I have just returned from a 3 night stay in Rome, there is so much choice with regards to accommodation in Rome but I highly doubt any of them will live up to this little affordable B&B.

The rooms are clean, modern & very quiet - with its central location & all the hustle & bustle of a big city you might expect it to be noisy - it really isn't, being set back from the high street you can easily sleep with the windows open - we did! The reception/communal area is as well kept as the rooms with tea/coffee fruit & free internet access on the PC (free Wi-Fi is also available).

Location is perfect; we walked everywhere using the Metro only once.

As many have already said Nadia is amazing, so friendly, helpful & knowledgeable - you couldn't ask for a better hostess.

I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough & we will definitely be heading back.

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at this wonderful new B+B in center of Rome. The proprietor Nadia is absolutely wonderful! Very helpful in planning each day's itinerary. The B+B just opened in September. Just a few rooms - which are spotlessly clean, crisp white design with small, convenient reception area with computer for guest use. We absolutely loved our stay with Nadia. The entrance is in prestigious building on busy street, with nice shops, cafes, etc. When inside, absolutely peaceful, quiet.

If you want a small, quiet room - in middle of Rome, a couple blocks from Termini train station....this is the best place for you. Thank you Nadia for your generous hospitality! We wish you much success!
