Just back from another great family break in Rome. This is the second tie we have stayed at this hotel, the last time being 2007. Still a very good hotel, but a lot more expensive than I remember, unless it is just the poor Euro/Pound exchange rate, but 20 euro's for a beer, glass of wine and a glass of orange squash (not juice) in the hotel bar is even worse than Paris! Also the hotel now charges 1.50 Euro each way for the hotel bus into Rome, which although it isn't bad it was a free 'courtesy' bus last time, sign of the times I guess. The room and staff at the hotel were all excellent and could not be faulted whenever we needed them.
Rome itself as marvelous as ever and they are putting a tram system in which should make getting about even easier in the future, although once you are in the City it is all easily walkable if you are reasonably mobile, all flat and all you want to do/see is a lot closer than you think really.
One of the nice things about this hotel is it's location in that it is not in the centre of the city so it is quiet, it has an indoor and outdoor pool and is nice to sit outside and have a drink.
Overall a great hotel for a break in RomeMore
