We thought that the Hotel delle Nazioni was a very good choice for a short break in Rome. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient and helpful. The room we had was quite small, but adequate, furnished well enough, and had an extraordinarily large shower room for a hotel of this type. The air conditioning (necessary in June) was quiet and effective. No views from the window, though. Buffet breakfast was fine.
The hotel's main advantage was it's location. Just a few yards from the Trevi fountain, a bit further to the Spanish steps. In fact we managed to walk to the Vatican City, and on another day to the Colloseum, although for a pair of pensioners it was a quite a long way!
We took a taxi to the Vatican Museum as we had a pre-booked tour time (Well advised).
And another day a trip using the (very limited) Metro system. It's worth noting that for EU citizens who are pensioners the City Museums (apart from the Vatican) are free on production of a passport (or copy).
A number of restaurants are within a short walk of the hotelMore
