This hotel was positioned just a few minutes away from Trevi Fountain and also the Corso which is the main strip of shops. The supermarket is just over the road, which I went to plenty of times during my stay as I have a 13 month old child. We found that the hotel reception staff mainly the younger ones were not very helpful and everything was too much of an effort. The older staff members were great. We found the girls in the breakfast room fantastic and very helpful with our little boy. They made our stay very memorable as our little boy loved the attention they gave him. Breakfast was average, I was bringing my own food to breakfast. The room was clean and renovated. The floor was concrete with boards on top, not so good for a baby who is crawling as they could easily hurt themselves. I don't think I would stay at this hotel ever again, if I ever went to Rome. We did not eat at the restaurant as it was too expensive.

The hotel is located in a good area in Rome. The man in the counter is very helpful but the hotel is not good. The room is so small, the air conditioning didnt work, bed feels unclean, very noisy and lot of people smoking. We did asked for quieter room and non-smoking. The room might be non-smoking but because the air conditioning didnt work we need to opne the window. Our room face the lane where everyone smoke.

Room is nice for their food and visitation to the museum. But the country is very dirty.

My husband and I have been traveling for over 30 years throughout the US, Caribbean, and Mexico. This was our first trip to Europe. We had a wonderful time. While stuck at home due to 20 inches of snow on the ground, I started researching our trip. Went to expedia, entered our travel dates, and was given a list of hotels available. I then began to read trip advisor reviews on the hotels and selected this one due to the great reviews

Check-in was the quickest we have ever experienced, and the porter was right there to take us to our room. I had read hotel rooms in Europe are smaller than the US. This was definitely true, but our room was fine for the two of us. The room was very clean, with nice hardwood floors, flat screen tv, mini-bar, safe, very comfortable bed and pillows, wooden shutters which kept out the street noise. The shower is very small. I read in one of the reviews that there would not be an iron in the room, so I took a travel iron. They do offer laundry services. Also, they do not provide hair conditioner, so bring your own. There is a nice terrace on the fifth floor.

Breakfast was very good - scrambled eggs and bacon, a very tasty red orange juice,
croissants, cereals, cold meats and cheese, good coffee, fresh and canned fruits, yogurt. This was included with our room rate.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location of the hotel is great. We ended our evenings with a gelato at the Trevi Fountain. You can walk to most of the attractions. We did take a public bus to the Vatican, one euro each way. Very convenient, just ask someone at the front desk for the bus number and the location of the bus stop. There is a grocery store one block from the hotel if you want to get snacks/wine for your room. There are many restaurants very closeby. This was a great trip and a great hotel.

Excellent location behind the Trevi fountain, but still very quiet. Clean and nicely decorated room. Varied and tasty buffet breakfast. Helpful reception staff.
BUT - having just stayed in a 5 star hotel in Cardiff for £120 per night, spending more than £200 per night for a hotel with fewer amenities seemed a bit steep. I know Rome is expensive and the euro isn't helping at the moment, but nevertheless...
So ... there's a SPAR shop just behind the hotel if you don't want to spend out on the mini bar and a really reasonable restaurant just a couple of streets away called L'Archetto in Via Archetto!
Some good trips - Dark Rome's guided tour to Ostia Antica - excellent guide called Massimo who brought the site to life
- Beautiful Bernini sculptures at Galleria Borghese, but you need to book in advance for a timed entry slot (phone or online)
- Doria Pamphili pallazo has beautiful rooms and lovely art, and a great audio guide.
