We stayed here at the beginning of September for a 3 day weekend break to celebrate my husband's birthday. I chose the hotel on the strength of other reviews and was not disappointed. I booked a superior room but (for some reason), we were upgraded to a junior suite in a very favourable location at the end of a floor. Very spacious room compared to the standard - we checked using the floorplan on the back of the door for emergency evacuation. Lovely continental style reception area with lots of cool marble. Clean and tidy stairwells and landings with a mezzanine roof terrace off the first floor. Very clean in the room overall, one of the best I've experienced in a while. Comfy bed and pillows so we slept well even though it is the middle of the city - the windows and shutters, when closed, offered peace and quiet. Effective and quiet air con as it was till pretty warm when we visited.
Breakfast was good for Italy, not the best but not the worst and the restaurant they serve it in is OK but not swish. Hot and cold options in plenty although the canteen style hot drinks dispenser leaves a lot to be desired. I like a good coffee fix in the morning so had to go elsewhere for those. Bread and pastries always fresh, even on Sunday.
Lots has been said in reviews about the customer service at the hotel, particularly on reception. Yes, the staff are a little distant but when I overheard how some guests spoke to them, I am not surprised. I found that greeting and thanking in Italian along with a smile, went a long way to breaking the ice - but maybe that's just me being very British about service!
Finally, you cannot beat the location. Steps from the Trevi Fountain and easy walking distance to all the key sights although we didn't cross the Tiber so cannot judge walking distance to the Vatican, for example.
For me, great hotel value in a fab location. We would happily stay there again - and hope too soon!

Room Tip: Upgrade if you can to get the space.

Picked from trip advisor and very happy with the choice. The hotel was fully renovated 3 years ago and is immaculate . It is all very clean. The rooms are sufficiently large. The shower was a bit penny. It is about 100m from the Trevino fountain, 1 km from the colloseum and on the tour bus routes.
It is set back from a major road which we faced but was not a problem as the substantial windows wee double glazed, had a hinged inner shutter, a hinged and slatted outer shutter and curtains. The ac kept the room cool although it was very noisy so we had it off at night.

We were only in Rome for 2 days and this was the best location for seeing all the major sites. The hotel is literally on the same block as Trevi Fountain, we passed by it everyday as we started our tours. Short and beautiful walks to everything...Coliseum, Vatican, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, etc. Lots of eating and shopping options close by. Very friendly staff. I felt like they were waiting for us to arrive, i told them my name and they had everything ready to go for us to get straight to our room. The front desk staff arranged taxis for us with no problem and were helpful with some great recommendations. The room was comfortable and modern but with the charm you would expect from this neighborhood. It was a very good size for two grown men and luggange, comfortable bed, and great shower. This place turned into a great respite after a day of walking around a very hot city. Will definitely be back to Rome and will definitely be staying here again!

We were on a short break family holiday (from the UK) visiting Rome for the first time at the end of August, for 4 nights, and we wanted to be central - this hotel was a great choice. Friendly, multilingual staff- a special mention for Fabio, who gave us recommendations to get to places and was a friendly face at the front desk. Staff were helpful also when we wanted to confirm our taxi to the airport.

Rooms were not large by UK 4 star standard, but were fine with some modern touches- flatscreen TV, and led reading lights. Bathroom was clean and the shower units were good.

We had standard double rooms, with twin beds - mattresses were firm, but comfortable.

If you want a choice of English language TV channels though you will need the superior rooms, as the standard rooms only have CNN.

We thought the breakfast could have had a better choice of fresh fruit and breads, but for a short stay it was fine and set us up for the day.

Courtyard rooms seemed to be a little quieter but we also had a room facing the side street (main entrance) and this was fine.

Best aspect of the hotel has to be the location: Trevi fountain is a few minutes walk as you turn right from the main entrance. Other key tourist sights are within walking distances of 20 - 30 minutes - we walked to most places (other than the Vatican) . ATM is directly opposite the hotel and there is further ATM to the left of the main entrance (as you face the hotel entrance). Bus stops to the main destinations are a few minutes walk and there is a DeSpar Supermarket just across the main road.

We were able to buy snacks/drinks from the supermarket which saved us money, and we used the mini fridge to keep the drinks cold.

Overall, we were pleased with this hotel, primarily because of the location, but also because the rooms were nice, and the staff were friendly.

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms are slightly quieter
